Hello FS Beauties!!! IT'S FRIDAY!! WOO-HOO! it's funny how friday is still a big deal, even though i'm a stay-at-home mommy now. i guess it's because i know hubbs is off on the weekends to share the load.
anyway, things have been going really well this week, eating-wise. i have really tried to stick to my points every day, and have been mostly successful. i went over by about 5 points yesterday, but i know i had my activity as a cushion.
my running has been going great! yesterday i ran 6 miles in 52:18... which goes to show how far i've come because when i started 1)i couldn't run more than a mile without huffing and puffing like i was going to die, and 2) my time was about 10.5 minute miles.. YAY! it's so nice to see that all of this butt-kicking is paying off. now i just have to wait until tuesday to see if it's paying off on the scale. :)
speaking of which, i have really been feeling betweeen a rock and a hard place lately in terms of what i eat. at this point in my running schedule, i am doing 26 miles per week, in addition to cross-training and strength training. IT'S MAKING ME TIRED if i only eat my 23 allotted points. and i'm not even wasting my points on junk! i'm trying to eat a lot of fiber and focus on protein as well, but i guess i just wonder if it's not enough. i know that you supposedly get "activity points" that you can use, but i don't want to stop losing weight because i'm going over my points every day. however, i do notice that around 2-3pm everyday i totally crash and burn. any suggestions??!
(i have been trying to drink a glass of chocolate milk within 30m of my runs/workouts, because a friend told me it's the "poor man's protein shake". haha. seems to help me recover faster, though)

anyway!

LOVE YOU ALL! happy dieting.. oh wait.. is there such a thing?! haha

well well
i've really been slacking on the journal front lately. i guess there is not too much to report except that i totally feel like i'm running on E this week. it's vacation bible school week at church and i have been a helper for the preschoolers EVERY NIGHT. that plus getting up early each day for long runs/workouts equals one tired momma. :(
i haven't been making the best food choices, if i'm honest with myself.... however i do feel good about the fact that the workouts have been consistent. i went to the grocery store yesterday and re-stocked all of our yummy fresh veggies, etc. so that will help with the food options.
on a separate but somewhat related note:
FIBER ONE BARS will totally MAKE YOUR DIGESTIVE SYSTEM GO CRAZY!!! haha but they are good! my girlfriend told me she ate one and it gave her a gas attack the whole nite... must've been true. ;) i ate one before VBS last nite and WOAH. there must be some serious power in those things.

hahaha TMI, i know. oh well. if you can't handle it, stay outta the journal. :)
