It's a chilly but sunny Sunday morning. I had a good weigh in which is putting me in a good mood. I got to have lunch with my sister yesterday and spend some time with her. I finished eating at 3:30 which meant it was a very long evening ahead. I did make it through without nibbling on anything. Quite an accomplishment because I was physically hungry. I have come to understand just how much my eating is an activity one that, pardon the pun, consumes most corners of my day and my life. I guess I have avoided seeing it that way preferring to focus on the "addictive" portion of my overeating. Yes, that is a piece of it yet once I went to two meals a day I could see clearly how important the act of eating, snacking, nibbling, etc was to my day. More lessons learned I suppose. Have a great day everyone.

Two days in a row below 213! I hope this means saying good bye to the those "teens" forever. It's a sunny Friday morning and I have a slightly late start to my day so we slept in a little bit. Now I actually have time to take a walk before heading into the office. Plus, only 3 clients today all back to back so it means I am out fairly early. I worked a little later yesterday because of my two hour massage client which meant I ate dinner later than I had wanted. My husband still can't adjust to eating any earlier, or eating dinner without me. He's a rather inflexible sort but we are working on it. Have a great weekend everybody.

losing 2.8 lb a week

So February was a bit of a bust-with nothing lost or gained. I started and ended at 215. Looking at the month as a whole it seems that it was a success when considering that 13 of the 28 days contained some type of travel, party, theater outings, social dinners, etc. To know that I didn't gain any weight is a plus. I have doubled down my efforts for March and am pleased with this tiny drop so far. Yes, I am counting calories (dread) but if that is what needs to happen to lose 15 lbs then so be it. Happy Thorsday to you all.

It's Friday and we are off to a (somewhat) good start. The plumbers are outside working on the water pipes so when I go to brush my teeth SURPRISE! No water. The scales were on my side this morning with another nice drop. Hello 213 and (also good bye) as I won't be seeing you again (fingers crossed).
Enjoying a soymilk latte and my first meal now. I chose a sweet potato pudding with cashew milk yogurt, banana and pecans as my first meal for this week and it's been super tasty and filling. I hope everyone is enjoying a nutritious and healthy, nourishing first meal out there, as well.

Getting used to just having 2 meals per day. It was a real adjustment at first. Now I find that I have lots of extra time to get things done since I am not prepping/preparing or deciding things about food. I have stayed on target with no snacking between meals, at least until yesterday at the movies where I ate some (most) of my husbands popcorn. That stuff is my kryptonite.
Have a great Wednesday everyone.
