Dear God I had to call in reinforcements in the form of my older sister! My appetite was still not working it's way back the way I needed so my sister suggested shrimp and grits since im pescatarian now. She came this morning and cooked some for me with my Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free grits too and it is SO LOUISIANA DELICIOUS! I literally ate 3 huge servings. Eating more right now actually lol! This seems to have been the only thing that made my appetite come back. My sister made enough to last me a couple days until I get back to normal. I mean I lost 5 pounds just in the last 4 days. I could only get down a couple hundred cals per day...that's bad. I see my dermatologist in a couple weeks and although the medication is working as intended the side effect of loss of appetite is just not for me. Googled it and apparently others havehad the exact same side effect. Now I'm really gonna have to do more resistance training next week lol. #Peace&Love #Shrimp&Grits :D

So I've experienced an unwanted loss of 2 pounds because I am experiencing a side effect of a medication my dermatologist prescribed. I began taking it on July 1 and my appetite literally started to go away. Called my derm and she said it was normal and not to worry it would be a side effect that would work it's way out soon. I try not to eat mindlessly so I like to eat when I feel my body tells me to eat then I eat my self prepared meals. Well, I went a couple days with low calorie counts (thank goodness for my continued daily personal journaling showing me this fact bc otherwise I wouldn't have noticed), and then I purposely started trying to eat more during the days after...that was a disaster. It was like force feeding but in slow motion lol. I even went and purchased junk food! Yes! Junk food! Stuff I never eat in hopes that it would awaken my appetite. THIS WAS SUCH AN EPIC FAIL! Wasted money! And I do NOT like to waste money. Did not even want it! Couldn't finish it. It tasted awful! Although the hershey's cookies n creme wasn't that bad lol! Me and hershey's cookies n creme go WAY back with one another...WAAAAAY back...we're friends now though. :D I still couldn't eat all of it though which makes me clutch my pearls just thinking about it. Gave what I couldn't eat away to anyone who would take it.. I did eventually get up to eating about 1000 cals per day after that. It's been really strange eating while not hungry. It really brought me back to a time when I was obese and I would continue eating thinking I was hungry even though I had already consumed 4000+++cals, etc. They were mostly empty cals back then, but the point is that feeling of eating when the main hunger is already satiated. In this case today it's a false satiation that Im battling by eating more, but it's just been interesting to feel it from a different perspective today. Anywho, the side effects are working their way out slowly but surely and I think I will be back to my normal 1600-2000 cals per day by next week. Just had to notate this on FS bc I often forget since I have a personal journal I keep daily. It's lunchtime now...let me get to "forcefeeding" myself again LOL! #Peace&Love

My appointment with my doctor last week went as expected - terrific. So did my follow up appt with her yesterday. She was super supportive of my new pescatarian lifestyle, and at the follow up yesterday I was informed through all my test results that my body is performing like a well oiled machine (in my Arnold Schwarzenegger voice lol). This is seriously the healthiest (internally) I've been in my life. And because I've been doing more resistance training lately, my (external) body is on track to toning up the way it was in the past - I'm about 90% there already. But I'm a mesomorph body type so gaining back lost muscle has not been a task. Bc my doctor and her staff had not seen me in a year they were all amazed and so proud of my hard work. I had to disrobe and wear one of those med coverups for a portion of my visit and my nurse said, "If I didn't know you I would never have known you lost 100 pounds bc your skin doesn't sag!" Literally EVERYONE tells me that same thing. I can certainly tell a difference though! My boobs are much bigger but they look so good now instead of the size C cups I had before I gained weight. My butt looks just a tad different to me, but it's not noticeable at all to others. I told the nurse my secret has been using Extra Virgin Coconut Oil all over my body instead of chemical laden lotions throughout my entire weightloss journey. Well that and using ankle and wrist weights during my workouts lol. Nobody has time to do all of that work, lose ALL of that weight, and not have a smokin' hot body to show for it in the end -- well..at least I know I don't have time for any of that lol. I'm just sayin'. I also meditated on what I wanted my body to become as well. I really had a healthy body in my thoughts constantly...I think that helps too. Before I get interrupted from finishing this journal entry again, I will get back to work. #Peace&Love :D
