Yesterday was a bust. Not only did I splurge on a huge burger and fries, I also ate 1/2 bag of Family Serving size Lays chips and 1/2 bag of Pepperidge Farm Chessman cookies. No surprise that I gained 3 pounds this morning. At least I didn't buy my usual caramels and pies at the Farmers Market yesterday. Today is a new day :-

Not too shabby. I did pretty well on portion control yesterday mainly because I was too busy to eat and think about hunger. I was especially proud about how well I did at Cheesecake Factory. That place is a gut bomb. I ordered an Asian chicken salad off their Skinnylicious menu. I thought the menu said under 500 calories for the salad, but I was wrong. Oh well. 135 pounds today is least I've weighed in months :-)

I've been doing pretty well on portion control with 21 Day Fix. For dinner last night I had 4 ounces of cod, 1 cup of broccoli and 1/2 cup of quinoa. I was craving sweet a few hours later and baked apples with cinnamon. I was down a pound this morning. Tonight will be a challenge as I'm going out to dinner. Actually every day is a challenge; some are just more challenging than others.

Who knew 2 cups of ground turkey for dinner last night would equal 600 calories?! I am thankful to coworkers that bring in sweet treats, but I need to mix things up and bring tasty healthy treats like dark chocolate. Yes, dark chocolate has a few antioxidants making it healthy in my book.
