one excuse is as good as another, With God all things are possible matthew 19:26
It finally clicked with me last month. God put the verse on my heart, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." He told me, "Becky, that means for you and food, you can ONLY do this through Christ. You cannot (obviously) do this on your own." I had to humble myself to this fact, but since then, God's power has really worked to make it possible for me to do what I need to do and see this is as the way my life will be going forward - regular exercise, tracking what I eat, eating "real" food.

Fat Cells numbers and Yo-Yo dieting
I agree with CrazyVegas - it's more important overall to concentrate on what we put in our bodies.
I don't stress too much at this point about fat cells or possible loose skin. it is what it is. I can only do the best WHERE I AM NOW. Sure, I wish I'd taken better care of myself in my 20's, but I didn't, so all I can do is start where I am now.

But, to the original issue, a friend of mine lost over 100 pounds on a strict high-protein diet, supervised by a local doctor. She said he told her that when she keeps the weight off for a couple of years, the fat cells won't disappear, but they will shrink and shrivel, kind of like raisins from grapes.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
I weigh every day - I need that constant feedback. I weigh after workout, breakfast, shower, right before I get dressed.

How did you decide your ideal weight?
I picked mine because it's in the middle of the BMI for my height (5'8"Wink. I'll see how I feel when I'm at 170 or so. I'd like to get a good muscle mass test done at that point, like k8yk, to see what's really what at 170.
