Of course the weekends are always hard. Started Friday evening with pizza, wine coolers and cookies! Not too bad Saturday, then had a little candy, Fritos, and sweetened baked apples on Sunday. So I guess I should expect a temporary gain over the weekend.

Plan still going ok. Ate a few Cheeze-Its last night, and they were so flavorful! Maybe because my diet has been so bland lately. I think a lot of us are a little worried about the upcoming holidays and having a huge amount of delicious, tempting food around. I'm going to pick a few of my favorites and have them. I must have some egg nog every year no matter what - they do have a light version that is pretty good. For the most part, I'm going to be picky what I choose, and make sure it is something I absolutely love and the calories will be worth it. Maybe we should strive to just stat the same, instead of losing any additional for the remainder of the year?

159 this morning. I am still amazed that I have been able to drop so much in such a short time. Was beginning to think I was forever stuck at 165. I have not been that hungry, which is strange. I can get full really fast too. Have been eating grilled fish for dinner a lot.

Broke the 160 barrier! I'm on a roll! Really cutting down on the amount of food I am eating in the evening. Even resisted a big bag of Lay's chips in the pantry last night. They were calling to me.....

Up a bit this morning to 161.5, but no problem. I did have some carbs over the weekend, cereal, small portion of lasagne and 2 weight watchers desserts. Overall did not go overboard or binge on anything over the weekend, but I'm sure once I start introducing carbs again I won't stay at my "low weight.". Still have just a little roll around the middle. I may revise my goal upward to 155, we will just see where the next 5 lbs. comes off from.
I read an aricle today that fat is not the culprit in most people's weight gain, it's the refined carbs and sugar and added sweetners (like high fructose corn syrup in EVERYTHING). It causes the insulin level to go up, and that triggers the body to store fat. Interesting -that is the diet I am on now - high protein (which contains moderate amounts of fat) and low carb/sugar.
I'll try to stay on this strict phase through the week, and see where I am. Of course Thanksgiving is next week for us Americans, so no dieting, at least on Thursday!
