This past week I lost 2.2 pounds. I ate completely on plan, other than a small movie popcorn one time. I would have liked to see at least a 3 pound loss, but I know my body struggles to lose. I will be happy with a 2.2 pound loss and keep things the same for the next week. I know "they" say that losing 1-2 pounds a week is a good way to lose weight. As my friend said to me, I must remember that this is a marathon not a sprint. Some days are harder than others. I just have to keep at this "one day at a time." Well, onward to another week. I'm only a bit over 4 pounds away from the two-teens, which is my next mini goal.

Well, I didn't take a photo, but this new recipe I tried this morning was delicious! It was a chile relleno Casserole. Here is the recipe if you're interested: http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/chile_relleno_casserole.html
And I cooked up some bacon to have with it, plus mashed up half an avocado and a tablespoon of sour cream. Heavenly! :)

Well this chicken was delicious!! Out of a rating of 1-10, I give it a 10. Very tasty and moist. I did add onions to mine (just calculated them separately from the recipe I entered). I didn't have any Cayenne, so left that out.

Well this is encouraging!!! I lost 5.8 pounds this past week!!!! I really needed this boost of confidence. I'm going to continue with the 1400 calorie limit and the 20-25 net carb limit for one more week, and see how it goes.

Long road trip (all day) today, and we took veggies, ranch dressing, water, and cheese sticks, but the band bus stopped at McDonald's and I was super nauseated and starving, so I had 1 cheeseburger, which I already knew would take me over on my net carbs. It helped though and took away my nausea.
This is so hard, which is why I always give up at about 1 week. I'm just going to have a little food for dinner that doesn't have many carbs, and will bring me to about my 1400 + calorie limit. I'll see what my weight loss is tomorrow, but I'm thinking I need at least 1500-1600 calories (so a 100-200 calorie per day increase). I'm just too hungry, and that makes me want to eat (i.e. crave) big cookies and baked potatoes.
Well, that's my check-in for tonight. Going to go eat my tiny bit of beef stew meat, sour cream, and cheese. Then I will retire for the night.
I wonder what tomorrow's day will hold?
