Well I obviously have had a really hard time sticking to a full diet change, I admit it is my fault. See, my hubby doesn't really eat during the day - I have tried to change this, to no avail. This means that come 5pm or so, he is STARVING. During the spring, summer, & fall I work until 5:30pm Tues - Fri. When I come home, the first thing he wants to know is what is for dinner, & how long until it is ready. Needless to say, this causes me a lot of stress, so I rush into dinner. Often, we eat whatever is fastest; usually wrapped in bread of some sort and full of fat & calories. He doesn't like chicken. I want to eat it 3 times a week; so I told him he could fix his own dinner on those days. He doesn't seem to care about his health, or mine for that matter. As of tomorrow, we won't be keeping certain foods in the house; which he will hate, but he has a shop, he can hide shit there. ;)
He did recently change the seat on my stationary bike. It is a whole lot more comfortable now, though it still is a bit painful in places. I have been riding around 4 miles a day, which only takes me about 20 minutes. I break it up into 10 minute sessions, and have decided that now that I am laid off for the winter it is time to once again get serious about change.
I figure that if I make changes in our diet & routine now, we will be used to those changes by spring - which will make them easier to maintain.
