The Biggest Loser started recently. For some reason I have found their stories are helping motivate me. I recently got some new work out DVDs, and have been paying more attention to my diet. I have a wonderful, kind friend who has offered to fix my teeth. At the end of the month, I will have 4 of my front bottom teeth extracted, to be replaced by a porcelain bridge. I will be able to fully smile for the first time in 15 years. I am really tired of being fat, of hating everything in my closet, and hating myself even more. I want to be happy, healthy, and active. Starting tomorrow, I will be doing the workout DVDs in the morning, and making sure I stick to my diet. If I want to be different, only I can make the change.

This has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. Changing my diet has been a struggle, mostly because I can't get the hubby to give up some of my faves. Working again, having the family, now we have chickens, and then there is the garden, not to mention the housework. I am done by the time I get done with all that, and I don't want to do anymore. I know, excuses are like...well let's stick to the G rating - there should be NO excuses. I know this, yet I CANNOT stop myself from eating & make myself exercise.

No more excuses. I am lazy and undisciplined. The goal this year is to be a better me. Better means a lot of things. I want to keep my house clean, the laundry done, and take better care of my kid. I want to eat better, lose weight, and GET healthier. I want to have more energy, a better attitude, and be happier. I want to be a better wife, lover, mother, & friend.
I have a hard time with motivation, but last night I was told a hard, horrifying truth. The words spoken to me will fuel the fire of change! Time for a BETTER ME!

Well, found out that it is much harder to keep up with the exercise & diet when I am running around crazy in the summer. I have to get a handle on my weight, and settle into a routine that I can keep even when I am super busy. Wish me luck!
