I was really off-kilter today and didn't care. I have my Thanksgiving holiday meals carefully planned to be on my diet and still enjoy, but TODAY?!? OY! I had two iced sugar cookies for breakfast with my coffee instead of a healthy breakfast. Stopped by my friend's house for a brief visit and she had me try some of her turkey and dressing ... it was only about an ounce of turkey and a tablespoon of dressing, but definitely unprepared nibbling. I went Christmas shopping and accomplished a great deal; in fact, almost done. Then I bought a box of two Red Baron 4-cheese single pizzas, enjoyed them both with a nice glass of cranberry wine. I was still under 1200 calories, but it wasn't part of program -- not even close. Tomorrow is a new day and back on my plan!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF MY BUDDIES!!! Enjoy your family and friends in this day of thankful celebration.

Gained a wee bit this week and very surprised because I thought I was doing well. I am going to review my food diary and get back on track this week. Yes, it's Thanksgiving week, but Thanksgiving is one day and I'm going to enjoy my family and friends. Got up in the middle of the night Saturday night to use the bathroom and couldn't locate both slippers. The result was I banged into the door jam and smushed the bejesus out of my middle toe on my right foot. I think I may have broken it because it is so very black and blue, but I can walk on it and it doesn't hurt to touch it, so maybe just bruised it badly. Gotta' get a shoe on it today because I have errands to complete today. Pretty sure I will not be doing any speed walking for a few days. UGH! Wishing all of my buddies an fantastic Thanksgiving in every way! I'm thankful for y'all!

I am working it and it's slow, but it's going in the right direction and I'm thrilled. Down another pound ... YAY!! I hope to be in new numbers next Monday. My current goal is to stay the course without feeling deprived and I have the knowledge and skills to do it, so it's just making sure that I DO IT! Just want to take a short moment to tell you all how much I appreciate your journals and your support. It really helps listening to others talk about the same roadblocks and issues that I run into every day and how you deal with them. Keep on keeping on, dearhearts!!!

Down another pound and working it! I have set a personal goal of losing weight through the holidays without giving up at the things I love. This means modification of some of my holiday favorite foods as well as remaining vigilant to my walking and other periods of exercise. Happy November to everyone!
