This is the lowest I've been since Christmas. I have struggled for the last 10 months, going up and down 25 lbs. It feels SO good to be headed back down! I'm hoping I'll be back at my goal weight for Christmas this year, and be so thrilled to be back there that it will give me the strength I need not to cave on the holidays. I feel like I have more tools in my toolbox now--fasting, and psmf.
My final result of 4 days of fasting is that I was down 2 1/2 lbs. I'm going to try the psmf again. I will give it two weeks to start; if I lose, I'll continue to Thanksgiving. If I don't, I'll try fasting again. As I work through this, I need to figure out how I will maintain. I'm thinking it will be general low carb, but going right to fasting the moment I start to go up, or after a day when I go off plan. I kind of like the idea of actually planning a non-low carb day, followed by a fast. I think it will give me more flexibility, and make this easier to follow long term. Carbs are a scary thing for me, and it's hard to come back after I eat them. But I've struggled with every holiday, and maybe planning to eat certain things will work better than trying desperately to avoid them...and failing. Maybe knowing I can eat them will allow me to eat them more sanely. Time will tell.
