Been awhile since I made a journal entry. Lots has happened since March 28th. So I pinched a nerve in my back about 3 weeks ago. It 're-pinched' last Thursday and I have a doctor's appointment scheduled for tomorrow and will have an MRI on Friday of my lower back. Hopefully that will shed some light on what is going on with me. Currenly taking meds for pain since I have constant pain running down my left leg. Also have numbness in that leg and foot as well as a burning sensation that comes and goes. Really put a hamper in the exercising thing.

BUUUUTTTT!! I have stayed with the diet guidelines I have set myself. :) I did take Saturday off this last weekend for a special day spent with my Daughter, my sister and a few friends. We had Pedicures in the morning, followed by lunch at the mall, last minute shopping for accessories, hair appointment for my oldest, dinner reservations for Hibachi, and last but not least, an evening at the Ballet. :) We had 3 preteen girls out for a day of glamour, pampering and fun. The day was about making memories, not counting calories. But I will say that I couldn't even eat half of anything I ordered that day. Took quite a bit home for lunch the next day. My scale got down to my low weight again, but just won't dip lower. >.< Really frustrating, but I am finding comfort in the fact that I'm in my 'tight pants' and they keep trying to slide down my tushy today. lol. So it looks like I've lost inches instead of lbs. I know the scale will catch up at some point. Just a waiting game til then.

Anywho, back to the grind. :)

So. I did weigh myself before I left for my Mom's last Friday. But mornings are hectic in my household. 3 kids to put on the bus. 1 toddler to wrestle (and I do mean wrestle) into clothing. 20 reminders about the time, snack for school, homework, don't eat that, no hun I haven't had coffee don't make me think, etc.

BUT! I weighed in this morning. ^_^ So from last friday to today I've lost 11.5lbs. It's probably water weight, but I still feel better. So it's a start.

Joint pain is moderate today. Very sore, very still. Deep breath before I stand, and breath out as I do so. Moments of sharp stabby pain from the joint as well today. Ugh.

Had impromptu company last night. Also changed up dinner plans some, but it worked out. :) I didn't go back and change my intake for yesterday. But tonight, will be pork chop night instead.

Also picked up a few other choices for hot tea at home at the store yesterday. Very happy with the Tetley Blueberry and Raspberry tea. Tasty. Also got Yogi Bedtime tea which is a herbal blend and a store brand hibiscus tea. Need to go by publix and get the hibiscus tea I really enjoy.

Welps, I'm going to enjoy my lost today.

Stay Positive people, and I hope Wednesday treats you well. 1/2 way to the weekend!!! Woot!

Tuesday is looking beautiful even if I'm stuck in my office all day. Last night was good. Chicken and potato gnocchi soup is a favorite of mine. And since the kids were eating something else, I could up the garlic and cracked pepper. So tastey. Also was kinda hungry after dinner last night so I had a 60 calorie dulce de leche pudding cup, that I ended up sharing with my almost 2yr old. Then followed that up with a cup of hot tea.

The 9yr old who lives with us, had a little meltdown last night so I ended up sitting in the floor and talking to her til she could calm down. Concrete floor vs sacroiliac joint. Floor: 1. Joint: 0. After that I spent the evening on a heating pad, and took my anti-inflammatory med a little early. Had to be done. So today it's still achy and throbby. Hoping it calms down before the end of the work day. I'd like to try to walk my garden tonight after dinner. I need to cement the planting location for a snowball viburnum and a red maple. I want to check on the lavender too, it may need some water since it hasn't rained in the last 5 days and it's not suppose to rain here til Sunday. Yay for yardwork! Washing the dog is also on my to do list.

So many things to do, so little time. Story of my life, but the kids come first. And today is the first day back at school from spring break. So tonight will be full of homework and complaining. If no tears are shed, something is definitely wrong. lol.

Dinner will probably be pork chops, I know they're in the freezer, so probably wild rice, corn on the cob, and green beans. Maybe some peas if I'm feeling spunky. lol.

I hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday. ^_^

So had a pretty good weekend. Lots of exercise chasing kids around my Mom's property, walking horses, feeding animals, moving goat pens. I definately over did it some, joints ache today, very stiff. But at least its not a stabbing sharp pain. ^_^ So looking at the good side.

Diet wise, I didn't track, internet is funny at my mom's and cell service is non-existant. But Friday night I had a plain hamburger and cherry tomatoes for dinner. Then Saturday: breakfast: bacon, grits, a slice of toast, and coffee, lunch: 1/2 cup of rice with homemade gravy, fresh tomato. Dinner: steak, salad, baked potato. snacks: a serving of chicken in a biscuit cracker, grape tomatoes, 1/3 of hershey bar. Sunday: breakfast 2 small pancakes, 2oz of sausage, syrup, coffee. lunch: 4 chicken tenders, 1/2 cup of fried cheese curds, sweet tea. Dinner: was full and not hungry so I didn't eat dinner) snacks: none. lunch was on the go, so it kinda took the place of snacks for the day and it was 2pm when we picked up lunch, then I snacked on it for the next 2hrs in the car on the way home.

Monday: rolled around bright and full of good intentions minus sleeping through all my alarms and waking up at 6am when I have to leave by 6:30. lol. Luckily I did some meal prep the night before. So Greek yogurt and strawberries for breakfast today. I had a large green apple as my mid morning snack. Tart and delicious. Lunch will be salad. And Dinner I'm not sure about yet. Today is my Oldest Daughter's 10th birthday. Thinking of making something she particularly likes. So I will leave that up to her tonight.

Decided on dinner. Kids are having a birthday dinner of Baked Chicken Nuggets or corn dogs, mac and cheese, and green beans. Adults: Chicken and potato gnocchi soup with spinach, carrots, celery, onion, and garlic.

Also have to meal prep some breakfasts for the rest of the week. Turkey sausage, cheese and potato with a separate snack bag of spinach for savory options and greek yogurt and fruit for the sweet option. Both breakfasts have a ton of protien. Though the sausage is higher in sodium.

Anywho, enough with journalling today. Almost time to go home and cook dinner after I pick up kids. :)
