Bought myself a new pair of running shoes this past weekend since I have been faithfully putting in the miles. I'm adding more and more "runs" into my morning walks. It feels good to be getting my aerobic fitness back up to a decent level again. When the days get shorter and it gets colder, I'll be hitting the gym in the mornings. I'll muscle up over the winter months, then go back to my heavy cardio rotation when the weather is warm again. I just love being outside when the weather is nice.
It's super quiet at work today. I can actually breathe! It feels strange :)

I went for a 5 + mile walk / jog in the Georgia heat this afternoon. I got on the scale after the walk it it read 165.6. Now I realize that I am slightly dehydrated at the moment but this lets me know that I am still losing weight and getting very close to my goal. I should be at 165 by the second week of September no doubt! I am so grateful that the weight is coming off without much of a fight. I was concerned that I would have trouble losing because of my age.
I know one thing, I'm going to keep a close watch on my weight now. I don't ever want to mindlessly let it creep back up on me again. No matter what's going on in my life, I need to remain in control of what I am consuming and how I exercise. I am giving God the glory for this weight loss because I asked Him to help me control my appetite and help me to crave healthy food in healthy portions. He heard my prayer and answered it!! Thank you Abba Father!

I'm so annoyed by my busy schedule right now. But the excellent news is that I am watching what I'm eating, and keeping up with my exercise. That's all I can do at this point. I'm not following my 5:2 Fast Diet right now, and I'm not tracking my food. I hope that by the end of the month, things will settle down for me at home and at work so that I can refocus on the 5:2 Fast Diet.
I'm so grateful to be under 170 lbs. I'm shooting for 163 ish... I will need to start the Fast Diet again to get the last 6 - 7 lbs off.
