I quit smoking 10 days ago on the eve of my 40th birthday.
I've been eating too much food.
I've been drinking too much alcohol.
I made meals for tomorrow.
I need to record my calories.
I can't let this get away from me.
I hope I have the strength to be back.

I hadn't stepped on a scale since September until this morning. I wasn't surprised that there was little change because I've done my best to MAINTAIN my summer weight loss and all my back to school clothes still fit. Restricting calories during the day and light dinners seems to be working for me. I'm still enjoying too many cocktail calories.
Although I didn't record calories or journal I was always thinking of my plan and committing to the lifestyle change that I promised myself. I can see that so many of my buddies continued to lose weight and kept strong since I last checked in!
Anyhoo- weight loss is not a part of my new year's resolution; however, bikini season is only six months away! I made a lot of progress in a few short months, so I bet if I refocus my energy I can get really tight by the time I open the pool.

I haven't given up. I'm still working on it and feeling good. Looking good too, I might add. Des began Kindergarten this week. I went back to work; my classroom is all set up. My students begin tmrw. Almost done with my last grad class. Hubby is still home. Things around here are crazy...
I am upset that I haven't been recording my food. I WILL begin again soon. I just need to get a handle on this new routine. It's 9pm and I still have a ton of shit to do before bed. I hope you are all staying strong and being good.

Just got back from 2 weeks at the beach! I restricted calories for breakfast and lunch, then ate a restaurant dinner with a few cocktails every day. There were a few days of extra treats, but overall, I'm pleased I only gained three pounds. Back on the saddle today.
Missed all my buddies! Can't wait to catch up!
