Hope everyone is having a good day =)

To help with finances while we are dealing with this property stuff I went back to work. I opted for Floral this time (last time I went back to work it was in Cash Accountability(accounting) which has a lot of pressure and room for serious mistakes compared to putting together an arrangement of candy &/or flowers =p ). Normally I'll be working on weekends but had an 8hr shift today since my husband was off today. I probably would have been going back soon regardless since I want to make sure I work for 6 months or so every couple to few years just to stay current in the job market. With the boys medical and special needs staying home is the best choice for our family for them. However if, God Forbid, something happened to my husband it will be much easier to re-enter the job market as the full time provider if I'm only ever gone from it for 2 or 3 years at a time. Rather then a decade or more I've talked to some women trying to overcome. Last time I went back because I was asked to come back because there had been some issues in the department and they needed someone trustworthy and reliable while they figured them out. I stayed for about 4 months but was working 40+ hours a week and then phased out working less and less over the next couple months. This time we nneded me to come back for financial reasons, but that also afforded me the choice of where I was going, rather then being needed for a specific job. It also means we get to puck my availability so we can make this easier on our family then it was last time. Especially important since now we have an elementary student and preschooler homeschooling (compared to a baby and almost 4 year old last time).

Today at work was good, floral use to be one of the departments under my position when I was in fulltime management at the store and I always enjoyed working the department. Ivretained more of the 'know how' then I expected after 7 years out of the department and the rest won't be hard to pick up as I go around. Beong cpnstantly on your feet on those floors, even with mats is rough- but I have pretty decent shoes and it's not too bad. I think it's going to ne a much smoother experience then it was last time and a much less draining job title to be in, so that's good =)

Hope everyone has a nice evening!

I hadn't ben focusing on food intake, exercise output or even what my actual weight was for almost a month and a half. It was a bit of of a pick me up when I did weight in a couple days ago and found myself 4lbs down from July. In my adult life I've never gained weight outside of pregnancy or lost weight unless actively trying- I tend to just naturally maintain with a pound or two no matter if I'm at the 174 I was after having my youngest or 125 I was between my boys pregnancies. So I hadn't expected to be down much if any. However I also haven't crunched the numbers for a while, so I did that a bit ago.

This weight puts me at burning about 1600 calories on a no exercise day, which in order to drop a pound a week puts me under that 1200 magic number. Not sure how I feel about that. I've always sort of raised an eyebrow at the validity of having this one magic number you aren't suppose to go under for women whether you are 5'10" or 5'0". I'm not planning to get back in the dieting sadle yet though, so I have some time to research a little more. Generally I'm able to exercise now so it only will be a serious concern during the periods I'm having lung issues. I am going to try and track food intake for a bit again just to see where I am, since I really haven't been paying any attention to it. Not going to be changing anything right now, just seeing where I am.

Not planning to start in earnest again til we have the property situation more stable, but I may start doing little tweaks over the next month. As soon as we legally retake possession it's gonna be some serious cleaning and fixing up, but I'm hoping everything is wrapped up and it's on the market by October.

Yesterday's journal was pretty down (although it was sparked by a situationally positive event). I couldn't sleep tonight and want to try and stay a little better connected from here out (no more month and half hiatuses, lol). So I thought I would share a more recent picture of the boys and myself. The above picture was taken last Tuesday while we were waiting to take a family picture for our church's directory book. I can't really complain about how I look =) I've posted this one before in comparison because it was our zoo trip in August last year (that we took in the spring instead of summer this year).

The two pictures are taken very nearly a year apart (off by about a week)and the change is so easy to see. Which makes me happy =) I'm still technically overweight, but I'm less then 10lbs from being within the healthy weight range for my height... so close I can nearly taste it ;-)

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
