I gained weight with my oldest son's pregnancy while on bed rest for pre-eclampsia, lost it without much issue because I have always been a runner in the past. Gained the same weight with my youngest, but the pregnancy coincided with some serious lung issues that took 3 years to get my lungs functioning well enough to exercise again. Because of the damage caused to my lungs- instead of running I have been focusing on controlled cardio. My new bylaw has become that if my breathing gets heavy I'm doing it wrong. May seem contradictory, but it's working without landing me in the ER so I'm sticking to it!

If you really can't figure it out let me know and I'll take some screen shots to walk you through it next week.

Yes but you need to upload the photo somewhere else. I upload through my blog because I can upload whatever size the photo is and then use the url itself to alter the image size. Otherwise you need to upload the photo in the same size you want it to appear in the journal post. Then click the square in your journal post that looks like a mini picture of mountains and put the image url in the middle of the code ][ that pops up. If you scroll through my journals you will see posts with pictures maybe about half the time. It's not as complicated as it sounds, but it will probably take some thinking through the first time you do it.

Super Shred Diet
Your starting weight and stats are also going to play into if this is possible.

Let's just look at basically how many calories you'd have to be in deficit to shed 20lbs- 3,500x20=70,000 now divide that by the number of days in 4 weeks 70,000/28=2,500. That means you have to be in deficit of 2.500 calories a day to loose 20lbs in 4 weeks.

On a averaging 1500 calorie diet in order to do this if you were a 5'3" 30 year old female trying to jump start your weight loss with a bang- you could loose 20lbs in 4 weeks reasonably if you were starting out at 300lbs and went for a walk for 30 minutes in the morning and evening of each day.

However if you are a 5'3" 30 year old 150lb woman averaging 1500 calories a day and trying to go from the middle of overweight to the upper end of healthy weight by getting 20lbs off... you would have to exercise pretty intensely (like several hours each and every day) to be able to drop 20lbs in 4 weeks.

So like corifeo said, yes it's possible, but probability is something very different. At the core just eat healthy, keep in an average deficit and get moving as much as you can- the weight will come off. It didn't pack on in 4 weeks, so trying to take it off in 4 weeks generally isn't going to be your best (or healthiest) way for the average overweight individual. Still 1500 calorie diet is a great aim and whether you achieve the 20lb goal you will get closer to your overall goal =)

Medications that cause weight gain
I'm glad you are feeling well enough to taper off it. Hopefully you'll see a similar shedding once it's out of your system.
