I just turned 50 last Fall and have been trying to lose 15-20 lbs for over 5 years now. I had some stress in my life a few years back - combined with age and metabolism changes - that put on this weight.
I even joined weight watchers but nothing could get me to make the switch to sticking to a good diet.
This year I am committing to a diet of fruits, vegetables and whole grains without any processed foods and exercise 4x per week.
My daughter is getting married in September - and I really hate the way I am looking in photos right now - so there is my 8 month motivation. In the short run my office is holding a three-month biggest loser contest - hope to lose the first 10 pounds there.
