Sneaky self!! I manipulated my way out of exercise by saying I'll do it later in the evening. Well, I know how to combat that now. "Later" doesn't work for me unless I actually schedule it in and even then I have to watch it if it is scheduled later than my lunch break.

I have been exercising later and later these last couple of days because I have gotten off of a decent sleeping schedule, and then in the morning I kept saying "later", and then by mid-day, I'd be telling myself "You better do it!, you don't dare wuss out!" and I would take action to avoid my own self-nagging. But yesterday, I worked out so late that it kept me up I think)and now it's 10:30 at night and I don't think it would be a good idea to work out this late again.

So tomorrow, I am ignoring my sneaky self, and just doing what is best and work out in the morning. No excuses. I know I can work out even if I am very tired and sleepy. It actually helps with that even if it's rough at first. So I can't use the tired excuse.

I can walk in the evenings with my husband, but the workout I do (JM 30 day shred), I HAVE to do earlier in the day. So that's it. I got lenient with myself about that and it led to missing a day. Which one day may not be all that bad, but I know me, and it can easily turn into two and then the workout becomes harder and I will give up. I HAVE to create a strong habit of exercise right now. It must become part of my lifestyle before I can start becoming lenient.

So today was not a failure, but a learning lesson about how a "big" part of me would rather not deal with what is uncomfortable. Well, that big part is what makes me "big" and I won't have it anymore.

So tomorrow morning, I will be back on track with exercise. No if's, ands, or buts about it.

I discovered Pasta makes me hungrier quicker. I might feel full at first, but it definitely disappears. My hunger pangs were getting better, until I made spaghetti. I had spaghetti and though I actually consumed more calories I was hungrier sooner after. Seemed like an endless pit. I ate an apple and almonds and that settled it a bit. So I started to think that as much as I love pasta, the way my body reacts to it is not so good -- it just digests it right up and triggers hungers sooner I think. I know I need to make healthy calorie choices that are - not just count calories. One of my friends gave me the book Ultra-metabolism today, she said it may help me understand calorie content, after scanning through it, looked interesting, so I will start reading that tonight.

So far I am keeping up with the exercise challenges: JM 30 day shred and walking at least 30 minutes at least 5 x a week. And as I get stronger, I will step the length and/or intensity up.
