I have not been on the low carb diet for a long time. I actually started to lose weight (very slowly) when I finally gave up on low carb. It worked when I was younger but I was no longer having success & it was difficult to stick to for the long term. I now eat what I want within reason & do a combination of things. I try to eat from the WW Zero food list, watch calories but not drastically, eat more fiber, less fat (not no fat but definitely lower fat), eat half portions when dining out, make a conscious effort to move more & do short youtube exercise videos when possible. Then I found some meals I could make that were healthy, lower calorie, & satisfying. It has been a very slow weight loss but I don’t feel deprived at all & it is definitely a way of eating that I can do for the rest of my life. Some days, I’m not that hungry. I take advantage of those days & eat less although never starving myself. I guess each person has to find what works for them! I’ve still got a ways to go - at least 30 pounds but I finally feel that i will reach my goal.

I tend to go back and forth between low cal and /or vegan and low carb eating in my efforts to lose weight. Lately, I have been trying the high carb vegan but it seems my body just can't handle all those carbs plus I stay hungry all the time. I started low carb yesterday and it felt so good to not be hungry all day. I stumbled across this site and hope it will give me the support I need to stick with this. Yesterday was: B- eggs and 2 turkey sausages (L) chopped salad with chicken and a few cherry tomatoes, topped with low-fat mayo (still low in carbs) (S 1) Pistachios (D) broiled flounder, cauliflower rice.
(S 2) 1/2 slice of low-carb bread with 1 TBL peanut butter, 1 cup of Mootopia, a lower carb milk (6 carbs per cup).
So, I'm obviously not doing no-carb but low-carb.
I was down 1 lb this morning probably due to water weight but that is fine. Woke up this morning and don't feel hungry. So, I'll do my exercise and eat breakfast a little later since I'm off from work today.
