Went food shopping with Himself today. Usually we go at different times to different places and fill the shopping list between us that way. Managed to get stung by a dopey wasp which snuck up behind me and landed on the short bit of my hair on my neck. Ow. Could have been worse although it's still irritating me. Shopping made me clear out all the high carb stuff I know I'll never go back to (and a few well out of date items that got overlooked before!). I was surprised and pleased that there was so little waste from the shop I did two weeks ago - veg in particular; usually I have such good intentions and then go right off the path, ending up with the compost bin receiving most of my produce purchases and the waste disposal/dustbin getting the rest. Not this time. Very few casualties and hopefully fewer this time around. Got to be a good thing! :0)

So no weight change since my Monday weigh in for two weeks of low carb eating, but two pounds since my official weigh in last Sat. Confused? Beginning to be so will only do Saturdays from now on. Total is 9lbs in 3 weeks, the past two at 2lbs per week, which is safe and sensible. If it holds, I could conceivably lose another 28 lbs by Christmas!! That would be great. Am well settled into the low carb way now and don't want to change it. Am raising level a bit today as advised, but honestly won't be hitting the sweetie cupboard as I thought I might when I started. After the Maltesers, I know I won't want to. I even tidied it up today without once pining for a single thing. The Haribos from Costco in their big tub even made me shudder!! Will be giving those to my son in law and grandsons. Still loving not having blood sugar crashes and feeling like climbing the walls with hunger as I always did before, diet or no diet. Brilliant. :0)

Thought I'd have a few Maltesers as a treat tonight and they were absolutely vile!! This from a previously dedicated chocolate fan with a huge sweet tooth. Low carb is amazing!! Finding it a challenge to keep my protein as low as I would like (ideally around 70g a day), but I'll get there. Still learning.

Two weeks in on LCRF and fractionally less on low protein too, but it's really working!! 9lbs dropped! My Saturday weigh in on here was 7lbs, but that was only 12 days of LCRF. Two days later and another 2lbs difference. I know weighing in isn't necessarily the best way to monitor progress but it's a great motivator. Will re-check my body fat % after a month is up. Happy dancing again!! Yay!!!
