I read an interesting article that basically said crunches don't help you flatten your stomach because they burn about the same amount of calories and watching tv does. Cardio, cardio, cardio is what will whittle your waist it said. And that crunches are good for abs but no one can see your abs if there's fat in the way, interesting...I am going camping this weekend as a kickoff to regular exercise routine that I will be calendaring so I stay out with it. I have to stop being lazy. My hubby and I are going camping at Ft. DeSoto Park (the most beautiful beach in the country basically) so I will be swimming and kayaking and walking A LOT this weekend so come monday I think I will be on such a roll I won't ever want to stop and we'll take it from there. So many fresh starts I've had, but at least I'm not gaining back what I lost and hey- I know how to maintain! So, there's a plus side to everything. It has been a very stressful week but this weekend will be a great reward.

Ok, so this week is not going well. I've been making myself eat salad and it's not helping at all. Now, I need a new way to do this because when I deprive myself with actual lunch and dinner I end up eating more snacks than I usually do, which would be fine if they were not part of hubby's twix or a cookie from down stairs. Also, I am finding that while not letting myself have coke, I am having a million other sweet tooth cravings. Yesterday went I ran downstairs to the cafe to get a snack, my options were coke or cookies....the cookies were more expensive and the coke would have satisfied my sweet tooth and hunger pangs but I didn't want to allow myself to have one so I got the cookies. That was not good. So, I need a new plan. Any suggestions? I also did not run yesterday because of a fight with my hubby who was being a little selfish and taking away my free time- aka running time. Ugh. I've been really upset since for not being able to run.
