Second day in a row I'm below 1500 calories for the day, which is my maximum for the day that I aim for. Worked great last year to lose a 16 kgs fast, and to keep it that way. But I slipped up end of December and whole of January, with my daily average then between 2200 and 2600. Now I'm back on schedule, expect my weight to drop to my target of 78 by middle April.
While it's midnight now, and loadshedding that just kicked in, I'm wondering if I should do a midnight braai. 🤔 Imagine people waking up, in the pitch dark, and smelling a barbecue. 🤣 One should do crazy midnight snack things like this, that is what makes South Africa exciting.

Totally slipped up last week with the app. Although I still kept meticulous record of everything I ate on my dayplanner, I was just too lazy to indicate it all on the app every day. So I don't know what my calorie count per day and average for the week was. My estimate is that I hovered on an average of 2200 - 2500 per day. And I avoided exercise like the plague. But from today onwards, I'm once again indicating everything on FatSecret, it really helps to keep one motivated by seeing the total calorie count. I did lose a kg, so I'm fairly pleased with myself, and I'm pretty much on my ideal weight. But getting to 78 kg, at the bottom of the BMI scale, is still my goal. Together with some muscles then I'll probably be declared perfect by the government and get stuffed into a museum.

This app needs an option to switch off photos. Or maybe I should not look at the food people made, before I haven't eaten myself. It's like everyone's a chef that won a prize for presenting food in the most 'eat me!' fashion. 😁 My trick for losing weight is to make unattractive food, but some of you are really giving me a hard time, okay. 🤣

Something bad happened on FatSecret this month of January... You All Broke Your New Year's Resolutions! 😂
I know this, because members commented significant less on other's posts, and some people seems depressed. Like, dammit, I'll try losing weight next year again.
Myself also started to slip up. While I still record everything I eat (because I do calorie counting only), it took my two days before I recorded the past two days all at once on FatSecret. And today is the first time in 25 days I weighed myself, instead of every Monday evening.
Also, instead of trying to remain below 1500 calories per day, it creeped up to 2000 per day, and some days up to 3000. Yes, I'm horrified, and am considering a policy of social distancing between me and Covid. Which is the new name of my fridge, BTW.
I haven't done any exercise the past month, so I expected bad news at my unreliable scale. But I'm extending its parole now, because it says I'm still weighing 84 kgs. While my aim is to get to 78, I used to weigh 101.5027593 kg (I was very meticulous that day), and for now I am happy being 84.
From Monday - and I didn't say which one, nice loophole - I'll be starting to exercise again. One can say my New Year's Resolutions will be getting a second chance.

Handy weight-loss tip: Do not look at the photos of food people post at midnight when the fridge is just a short sprint away! 😋
