I don't know if I should be impressed with the fact that i'm on day 4 of being perfect in my diet, or not! And by perfect, I mean that I am not eating things I should not be having while following a restrictive carb-controlled diet!
I'm reading, or maybe I should say RE-READING...or maybe I should say RE-RE-RE-RE-READING the book called Making the Connection, with Bob Green and Oprah Winfrey. Lol The book is testimony to Oprah's journey from being 100+ lbs overweight, desperate and out of control, to being in the best shape of her life, and competing in a Marathon!
If you need inspiration to get back into great physical shape, want to learn to run and LOVE running, I suggest you read it! There's a great section in the book about how to learn to gain some control over things that lead you to being overweight in the first place. In my quest for optimum health and well-being, I'll probably always pick up this book, to help remind me that it's not as hard to figure out why we do things, as those psychologists would have you to believe! (Otherwise, how is it that a sports trainer like Bob Greene, is able to hone in on the reasons behind the weight issue? All he did was ask a few questions of Oprah before he made the connection between her problem and the weight)

Hmmm...I sound like I'm a part of some book club! LOL NOPE! I'm just trying to explain that I would like to thank Oprah for giving me a little inspiration to continue along my journey, and to stay focused!
POKER FACE, BABY!

wow! I just cannot believe that it's been so many days since i've written on my journal! It's so fun, so I cannot imagine why! hee hee!

I've been really focused on my diet and exercise lately. Nothing and nobody stands in my way. It seems to really be a struggle to get my game-face on, but when I do, it's ON!

ok, food wise...two whole days of perfection going on over here, thank you! all the talk about eating ice cream was just that, talk! sorry to disappoint! (Bad Andee is under house watch!)

exercise...still going to the gym, Sunday thru Thursday, 3 hours a day. Considering that my landscaping nursery is getting crazy busy, I'm getting twice the amount of workout, so that's good. PRO: the heat is killing my appitite, which is leading to prime weight loss! what more could I ask for?!
CON: I'm not drinking enough water! I keep getting too busy and forgetting! By the time I hit the gym, its too late to try and recoup some hydration. The price I see is too high to pay for continuing down that pathway of destruction! WATER!!

on a good note, I went to Wally MaRT and bought a better water bottle; one that is conducive to allowing me to drink while running without knocking my teeth out! that's always a good thing, right?

I'm happy to report that i've been given a chance to help others in the gym, as well! I've began training several new people, and i'm hoping to get 3 of them ready to run in their first race in the fall!

ok, so that's me! what have YOU been up to?? gonna go see right now, I am! Since Bad Andee didn't get to come out and play on my journal, i'll have to let her go and play on...YOURS!

Hi my buddies! gosh I just love you guys!

ok...so it's FRIDAY at the gym today. i'm looking forward to it. I messed up (some of you will be happy to hear that i'm a big screw up! LOL) and didn't drink enough water for the day. It took it's toll on me by the time we walked out of the gym last night, several hours later! (I won't tell you exactly how many hours, because i'm afraid you'll know just how crazy I am!)

This week, I concentrated on sit-ups. I did about 1200 sit-ups last night, working out with the weight ball for over an hour. It's not as hard as it sounds, though, so don't freak out on me!

Since it's our FRIDAY, we are going to work extra hard today. 08, Butterfly, and I are going to put in 3 hours at the gym (not that that's unusual! hee hee!)
If we're properly hydrated and feeling good, we'll do 1 hour of aerobics, and 2 hours of sit-ups and weight training.

diet-wise I'm on track. A little bit under my caloric intake for this time of the day, but I'm totally lacking in appitite! how often does that happen! LOL

OK...so this time, class, we're going to visit BASKIN ROBBINS and try their new flavor of the day on the way home from the gym! YEEEESSSsssss! Me first, Me first!

whenever I need a pick-me-up crack up, I just come over here and give you all a really bad time! Then, I go back and read what I wrote...and laugh myself silly at my own jokes! Cheap entertainment, dude! It's all I an afford after a trip to Disneyland!

Today's workout, class, is going to be simple! All of you will be happy to know that I'm only going to require you to put in 2 hours in the gym today! So what say we all knock off early around here, and head to the gym!? I know a great place we can stop for banana splits on the way home?! hee hee!

so, for a workout, this is what I want you all to do;
1. 1/2 hour of sit-ups with the weight ball
2. 1/2 hour of weights-arms, back, legs, butt
3. 1/2 hour of treadmill
4. 1/2 hour of recumbant bike

DON'T FORGET YOUR WATER BOTTLE, CLASS!
LOVE YA! hee hee
