Hey all! Happy what? Tuesday? yeah! Happy Tuesday!

I'm hoping to do BOOT CAMP today with my gym buddy. it should be interesting. I guess it's with a genuine drill sergeant, so it sounds like SOMEONE (my gym buddy) will be limping away and crying real tears when it's over! IT WON'T BE ME, DUDE! she's a sissy...shhhh! LOL

so, it seems that this turned into a question board yesterday...all of you buddies out there wanted to know a thousand things! What do I look like? A living, breathing information board? LOL

why soy and gluten free diet?
well, they both suck and it's not healthy for you! LOL ok ok! YOU SEE...it all started with SYMPTOMS and then spread like wild fire and turned into a RASH that itched. I complained but nobody cared! SO after some research, I decided...Hey! it could be soy! and the gluten, well...might as well eliminate it all until i figure it out! right?!

hmmmm...what other questions did you ask me? OH YEAH! The baby I've been talking about is not MINE, per se...it's my new grandson Justin! he's a beauty, dude! hee hee!

oh yeah, and Kimberlie, YOU HAVE A GREAT MEMORY! IT WAS THE SAME PARTY, AND THE VERY SAME GIRL that i was crying bout last year! Damned! i'm impressed! This journal is too long, but I'll tell you about the DRAMA that happened TOMORROW! It's not as good as the previous years, though! darn it! LOL so don't wait with baited breath!

Cali in July is like living in God's toaster oven! Open the door and a wave of heat knocks you back inside, so don't gripe at me because all my work is left undone! God made me do it! That's my story and I'm stickin' to it, dude! heee heee!

OK, so what's new around here...well, lots I might add! just got thru a huge company party at our place, over 200 guests were flushing our toilets and before we knew it, toilets went on strike! We had porta-potties but who likes to use them? I can't blame them there!

I'm a week free of soy, and 2 weeks free of gluten. I'm still having trouble finding new things to eat(AKA processed instant food that is time efficient and schedule-overload friendly)and that's not going too well. The only things in my diet now are fresh fruits, vegetables and fresh meat...period. Nuts are out of the question (allergic). The good news is that I finally broke down yesterday and weighed myself after a month of complete refusal, and found that I lost 3 pounds! WHOLLLLY MOLLLLLLLLY!!! imagine my shock!

Today is back to the gym, now that work has gotten off my back a little! So, i'm going to be running my buns off and lifting thousands of pounds! My new nickname will be ATOM ANT! make way, people! love ya!

I'm back! Did you miss me?! anything that could keep me from here will all be behind me after Saturday! The baby is here, albeit 1 1/2 months early...but all is great now! He's already 3 weeks old and has gained a full pound! He discovered that he likes his food!

dieting has been a huge chaotic mess. I'm learning to live and eat on a soy and gluten free diet. It's incredibly hard to find even the simplest of processed foods that are not affected by either of these ingredients. Last night I had grilled chicken breast from a restaurant, and had an immediate reaction to it! Hmmm...after some thought, that wasn't the smartest thing for me to do! The odds were really high that they contained OR were contaminated with those ingredients. I'm learning!

I have not been to the gym for over a week now! For me, that's a sad thing to report! the good news is that I'm working so hard right now, that it would equal the gym X 5! I'm so sore and tired by the time I make it to bed!

I miss everyone over here! I'm gonna try to find out how you're all doing right this second! I hope your summer is going great too!

Darn! I cannot believe it's Monday already! WHO stole my weekend? I think there should be a law against working on the weekends, dude! My life is just flying by me and I'm not even able to enjoy it! There is a silver lining to all this work/working out though. When I get dressed to go out on Friday's I look great...for one day a week...i look great! hmmm....enough of that!

I'm gonna try to keep up with ya'll during this week, but it's going to be tough! I hope you reward me with lots of brownie points for my efforts! I'm going to be busier than the President of the U.S.! Somehow, some way, I have to figure out how to practice for the upcoming National Tournament. I can already feel a spike in my heart rate just thinking about it!

NOW FOR A LIL FRIENDLY COMPETITION:
My gym buddy and I are going to compete and see which of us can stay on track the longest with calorie counting this weekk! With all these nerves about competing coming up, it's going to be EASY to keep my calories in check I'm thinking! At least I'll be coming in under the radar in that catagory; other chaotic things going on around me may suffer...LOL

My work-out challenge this week is to run AT LEAST 4 miles a day! Let's see how close I come to meeting that requirement! Maybe on one of those days I'll attempt a 10k?? I say maybe because it's so fricken hard to stay on the treadmill for nearly an hour, looking at the same scenery...never knew I was so claustrophobic! My gym buddy needs to get busy and do her homework! she was supposed to find a track where we could rack up the miles on, instead!

OK OK....I'm back! geeez! I walk away from here and before I know it, a whole week has gone by! is it just me, or has someone fast-forwarded life?

As usual, i'm at the gym working myself into a sweat puddle, and when i'm not there, i'm at work! Lately, work is about 2 times worse than the gym! I'm exhausted and sore the next day from lifting all the trees and making new wind wires for all of them. Many of the water lines were destroyed when the wind knocked the trees over, so I have to crawl along the lines and check the water supply to each and every tree! we're talking about 10,000 trees, so that's alot of crawling around! My shoulders hurt, I have bruises, my knees are all jacked up in spite of those knee pads, AND I probably lost 2 whole tbsp's of blood out there this week! I don't know about you, but 2 tbsps is too much! OUCH!

I have tweaked my diet to include more fresh fruits and I'm using the point system of weight watchers to do it. I have been doing Atkins for too long, and it's just not conducive to my lifestyle and eating habits right now. I'm cutting back all bad fats to almost non-existant, and making sure that good fats replace them.

so, that's the skinny on me these days! I'm lucky to have a social life and Friday's are my day off...so I'm playing sports all day,and in the evening I'll be doing PR in town for a huge benefit put on by hubby's company, and then I'm gonna go and work on my golf swing, and DEFINITELY get some bowling practice done this weekend, considering I'm in a National tournament on the 26th of this month! (it might be beneficial to practice!) I don't want to embarrass myself with low scores, ya know!
