Starting week 9 of weight training today:

End Week 8 May 4 2024:
Weight 140.2 lbs
Waist 30.5" Hip 40.2"
Seems like I was able to maintain my weight last week even with the extra calories. I want to cut but it is so hard to do while weight training. If I cut put my extra 200 calories of carbs, I cut my energy for my workout. I am not sure what to do. I think I will stay here at maintenance for a while and see how my body changes without cutting.

I am learning so much on this journey. As I strive to get healthy, I am learning to accept myself, my limitations, and my flaws. I am learning to respect my body and have a healthier mindset and relationship with my body.
Unfortunately, I have not gotten the most positive feedback from family members that I have decided to share with. "You're going to get bulky" "Can your hips get any wider?" "You have your dad's genes" "I wish I could gain weight, we have the opposite struggle" among the hurtful comments I have faced. I do have people that are positive and supportive which I am so thankful for. I can't be mad at my family, all of which are not bad people but terribly uneducated. I like to believe they don't mean to be hurtful. It's just challenging to not be met with support after I am finally, after a decade of making poor health choices either by choice or due to falling victim to misinformation, am making real positive changes.
