Frustrated. Weight isn't dropping. Inches aren't dropping. I think I look and feel a little thinner, but maybe I am just delusional. Why is it SO HARD to drop weight now?! I have the healthiest diet out of anyone that I know... lots of veggies, fruit, whole grains, beans... no high saturated fat, fried foods, meat or dairy, no chips... I have a small bit of non-dairy ice cream once in a while, but I hardly ever even eat a whole half cup of it! Been exercising 5-6 days a week. High intensity interval training, some strength training, yesterday I even did a burpee challenge. There is just no WAY I'm not having a deficit every day. This sucks. I've tried every trick in the book apart from starving myself (which I won't do). Arrghh! I want to really get lean so I can feel comfortable in my bikini, but nothing is happening!

Sounds like your doing everything right. I think the most difficult thing is the fact that you don't have much to lose. Also, if your already in a a good weight range for your height that it can also be harder. Are you tracking your caloric intake each day? Even though your diet is super healthy it might just come down to eating a certain amount of calories each day to move the scale down. It's so hard to say. You might look at yourself and see fat, others may look at you and see amazing. I love Oxygen Magazine. It has great articles and recipes on fat loss and getting lean. Maybe doing some research can give you ideas. Protein is what body builders use to get lean. You could try eating 5 or 6 smaller meals with protein at each meal. I would play around with the calories and diet and try to tweak things and see what happens. You have the exercise part down. Don't give up, something will get the scale or fat loss moving.

The funny thing is... when I DON'T track calories... I lose more. Haha! But I think I am going to try to track the next few days to see if I am eating ENOUGH. That might be the issue. I dunno. This whole thing should really just be simple, but it never is, huh?

Looking at your diet calendar your protein intake seems very low. I would adjust and try to keep you calorie intake around 1200 and increase your protein. Rule of thumb is 1g protein per pound of Body weight. Since you are not trying to build muscle you can stay below that but you should never go a whole day and only take in 15g of protein.. Feed your muscles because they burn fat.

I don't record much in my diet calender here. I eat a lot more protein than 15g.

The best advice that I could give you is log everything you eat so you have a better idea of what you need to change to see the results you are looking for. Congrats on your engagement and good luck with meeting your goals.

Hey, so glad you journaled! Hm. Ok... SO I would start (I did lol) with tracking the cals. I didn't mean to have mine so low this week!(I must have been undereating for sometime!) I think we can all eat wrong even if its healthy food. Can you lower the carbs, I don't like to be carb free but dropping the carbs helps. Also try more cardio? Remember, even if you are at a healthy cal diet (1200-1500) you can still be undereating if you are burning off 2300 cals a day. You only want a 500 cal defecit. Second. I'd look at it mentally. Stress, any negative thoughts LOL (food gets me down LOL). Hey you have that thing/alergies?) that or meds can be upsetting? Third, change something else. Drink room temp water instead of cold, take a cold shower even. Focus. Stretch in the mornings, drink your water!!

Thanks for your post on my journal. This is a tough spot. I was in it for years while I was actively trying to lose weight. It's such an individual mystery. What works for me may not work for you. FWIW-I started to eliminate the carbs from my diet-even the good ones. No beans or grains of any kind-which is frickin' hard! I started losing weight at a pace I did not expect or believe. Once I got to my goal and I held it for a few weeks, I reintroduced the beans, corn, non-wheat grains and nuts to my diet Maybe try eliminating one of the carb foods from your diet and see what happens? I think tracking will give you a clear idea of what your cal intake is and if it's too little. I am sorry this is happening and hope you get through it soon!
