brittneyx92's Journal, 26 October 2017

Starting today I will get back on track. I lost the majority of the weight I was wanting to lose but when I hit the lowest I've been since high school, I went into idle mode. I have at least been maintaining since then which I should give myself more credit for. But now I see the scale slowly creeping back up which to be honest scares the crap out of me. I don't want to go back down that road. This is my first time posting anywhere regarding my weight but Im hoping this will help me stay accountable.
153.4 lb Lost so far: 46.6 lb.    Still to go: 13.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

How did you eat when you first lost the weight?

I eat mostly protein and complex carbs from veggies and fruit. A normal lunch for me is hard salami wrapped around a couple of cheese sticks. Breakfast is usually a high protein shake with Fairlife milk and a cup of yogurt and fruit to flavor. I keep protein over 40% and carbs under 40%. Maybe that will help you get started. I also recommend taking a diet day off every week.

Aww thanks for the support. When I lost the weight I was eating pretty basic stuff, trying to limit my carbs like white bread and cutting soda down to only once a day. I always eat an omlette and coffee in the morning, sandwich for lunch and some kind of meat and veggies for dinner. light snacks in between. I started walking often and fitting in workouts when I can. I used to struggle with over eating and not making the best choices. I used to eat as I pleased and drink nothing but soda (I know, really bad)

I've been inn school five semesters, am in my 50s, Brittney and I wasn't getting enough activity or water. My BP shot up. I'm already successful at getting it down. I lost 5lbs and am at 163 now and chose an arbitrary 140 lbs as my goal. However, it's not the weight so much. It's being alive that counts. :) Today is my first day ever on a site like this.
