I am sure I had gained a little, then lost some. That is probably why I am staying the same weight. I also have now eliminated ice cream and crisps from my diet, although not altogether, but will only have a little bit on a few days a week. I am also learning that I probably have overestimated the amout of calories I burn a day without exercise, so I am now eating only 1800 calories a day as opposed to 2400. I think I now am on the right track. The reason why I wasn't losing weight was probably because I was eating too much.
