funmedic's Journal, 28 March 2012

I have not been tracking my food this last month. Christian is almost two months old. I weighed 216 when I had him. I feel like I'm constantly hungry and still eating like I'm pregnant. I must now daily track my food and begin exercising. I go back to work in one month. I would love to look great! I just found out that raw veggies and high fiber can cause nursing babies to be fussy. Ugh! Frustrating.

If you google it and look it up, you will find that eating certain food will cause gas and make babies fussy is actually not true. This is actually an old wives tale. The main problem is milk protein and cows milk can cause 2-7% of babies to have problems. Eat a healthy balanced diet with exercise and you should be fine. For your own comfort, add fiber in slowly because it can cause YOU problems, lol! Get plenty of lean protein from many sources because protein will keep you fuller longer and help you lose fat. If you stick to 5 or so servings of veggies and fruit a day, you will be fine. It's all about balance. delete 28 Mar 12 by member: Suzi161

Take it easy Funmedic! Breastfeeding is difficult! I stopped after 3 wks and started my son on a soy formula for his iffy tummy. He slept better after he started the formula. ALSO, it's hard to remember but it took you 40 wks to gain the weight...give yourself time to get back to prepregnancy size. Our bodies change so much after having kids. Good luck!!!
