Thank you so much to those of you who commented on my Indulgence Day questions. For those of you who didn't, and read this - I put a question in the forum for those who do an Indulgence Day. I'd like your views and comments on it. I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. :)

To answer Earthlady's question - I am NOT about to release "the book", but this IS a topic that would be included if I ever get to write one. :)

Today's weigh-in bugs me. I did Indulgence Day Saturday, and came out of it with an amazing 77.6 kgs. Then yesterday, Wife and I went for a walk. Walk ended up with good friends, good friends ended up with good food (demonized pizza), and dessert. I enjoyed it thoroughly, but sadly I convinced myself that it was okay to have too much, even if I know better than that.

Essentially, I didn't go over my calories burned for the day. However, I did go way over calories PLANNED for the day, and in my opinion this it just as bad for me.

Where I am right now is not so much whether I lose weight, maintain or gain. I mean, I have the goal reached, and the doctor's approval. What I need to work on the in CONTROL, and that seems to easily slip a little these days - especially on the weekends.

That being said, we had a blast yesterday, and I am 100% on track again. Food is planned, meals measured and entered for the day, and low cal treats for tonight's episode of The Walking Dead are prepared. Nothing should go wrong.

I'm so eager to go for my pre-op evaluation on the 2nd of April. I'm REALLY excited about it. Last night I was awake at some point (though I really slept like a rock most of the night - it was a good night), and thinking of how to prepare. It's a Monday morning, so I think I'll need to NOT do any kind of Indulgence Day the weekend before (which is in 3 weeks). The mission for me - the BAM! effect - will be to go in at less than 77 kgs. I want that. That's my drive to get there. The doctors said less than 77, they'll HAVE less than 77.

Today, I have a LOT of meetings, interviews etc. at work. It'll be busy, and it'll occupy my day 100%. I like days like that, though I wish there was just a little more wiggle room for paperwork catch-up. I'll manage, I'm sure.

So, I'll be leaving for work soon, to get started and to save up some hours for the 2nd of April. :)

Today I am thankful for:
- the scale hitting me over the head for making stupid food choices yesterday.
- the feeling of being on track today. I have no urge to "cheat".
- a busy day to keep me occupied.
- THE WALKING DEAD tonight.
- Having had an AWESOME weekend with Wife.

It's Monday, and it's a good one. I like my week days - they are so much easier to handle than the weekends! :) Life is good!

Weekends are always more difficult to control. I have the same issue. I'm not saying it is a good idea to go overboard on weekends...but I think as long as you care and keep trying then there is nothing to worry about as far as gaining it all back. Ya know? The problem would come if you thought you had "arrived" and just stopped trying.

Well the book is a brilliant idea. And you are such a great writer, I can't imagine it not doing super well. Can't wait for it, Keld. Have a great day.

I seem to think sometimes my indulgence day catches up with me more than a day later, but thats just my opinion. You seem to have been doing this longer than I. lol. I know this is especially true if beer is involved. I suppose now that your at or near your destination of the journey, you can afford to be more "out of control". So perhaps this is effecting you subconsciously. Sort of like when a child is near his/her parent, he may have more bravery then when he/she is not.

Indulgence day OFTEN takes more than one day to show it's ugly face afterwards. But of course this time I asked for it. :)

I think you SHOULD write a book. You have a lot to offer, king, and you speak so well to what so many of us feel in our struggles to lose weight, retake or gain control of our lives...shoot! Your daily journal and related comments speak volumes all by themselves. You may very well have a bestseller on your hands. Especially with the proper promotion! Think about it, at least...
