What a gloriously beautiful day here today... headed towards 50 degrees, HEY this is Massachusettes, and it's January! Come on now, that deserves a WHOOOO HOOO!

Did over 5,000 steps at the gym this morning.. got in a great workout on the eliptical. Burst/Intervals... 1 minute full tilt, 4 min's slow recovery, rinse and repeat. (of course warm up/cool down too!) It was good. And worked up quite a sweat!

Lots to do here at home today, but just entering my weight today, which happened to be down a pound! Another Whoo Hoo for ME!

And now on to finishing my outline for tonight's group... grocery shopping, housework, and maybe even a trip to the dress shop that wasn't open last week ;) We'll see.

Isn't the weather WONDERFUL We are having a "cold" day today. The high is 42. MIDDLE of JANUARY and it is still 42 out!!!!!! LOVE IT. Great job on your workout. I have just started including interval training in my workout and It really can get your heart rate up really fast!!! Keep at it

Some crazy weather this winter. It is cold here ... under 30 with snow in the forecast for tonight. Just hoping for decent roads tomorrow. I have to drive to the airport for a trip out of town. Have a wonderful day. You certainly are off to a glorious start!!! WHOOOO HOOOO indeed!!!

you know stef - I don't really understand it. But I was reading back thru some of my 'old' journals from the beginning (especially while I was in crisis mode and sitting at 150lb.) and while reading, I kept seeing my old comments about 'not having to do toooo much exercise' or rather 'not over doing it'. So I put myself on an every other day schedule back then. Coupled w/ the low carb, it seems to work well w/ my body. Of course over time, I have made strides in how much I can do and for how long... but 3 hours of exercise to my body sends it spiraling out of control thinking I've gone mad!!! LOL! (which in fact I would have if I exercised for that long!) But when you are desperately trying to find what will work for you... you miss some of these signals your body gives you. My body needs as much of a recovery day, as it needs the days when I push hard. Here's to finding what works for YOU!!! Keep at it, it'll come. Much Love.

Paula, I agree, and I thought so when you were looking for the right combination and doing all that exercise, but I always hesitate to stick my nose in, when I don't know exactly what someone's life is like or what they are doing in their lives. I am so glad that you seem to have discovered the right combination. Have a wonderful, agape kind of day!

Great advice about finding what works for you. Sometimes its tempting to push a lot and hurt yourself, other times it can be tempting to use that as an excuse. Glad you found the balance that works for you. Enjoy your warm day! :)

Paula, thank you for taking the time to enter your comment yesterday, it was a long one and I really appreciate your time and effort. I feel like a broken record and don't know why you would care any more but so grateful that you do. I am lazy and scared to make changes but I realize I do have to think about why I want this, what I want and how the heck am I going to get there rather than just flying by the seat of my pants 'cause that ain't working! So glad that you are down to 146 again, that 150 is scary stuff. You work so hard - its a mystery to all of us why you aren't 130!!! Big hugs hun.

Paul's we are having 60°weather here today. It was beautiful outside. Glad. you enjoed your beautiful. day. I had problems last year trying to get my workouts correct and now I am a bit merry to try anything but walking but I know I need more than walks to get in shape. Glad you have found what works for you. Blessings.

Woo hoo on the pound down...you are going great guns...funny how long it takes for us to find ourselves or do we ever....we are learning every day. So glad we can all share our feelings and everything else. Keep up the good work.

Seriously, as best I can tell, the only food change has been the added veggies at every meal and making sure I eat a protein w/ whatever I choose for a snack. (so I no longer just have celery sticks... I make sure I eat cottage cheese, or p.butter w/ them) as an example. Other than that, I'm not seeing much in the way of food changes on this guys plan... but the every other day - make this fitbit hit 10,000 has been quite a challenge for me, but I am sticking with it! ;) Thanks for all the love and support!

Congratulations on your weight loss!! Your a terrific example of determination to all of us! Glad you were able to enjoy the nice weather. It was 41 here today with misty rain..gave me more chills than the subzero weather we had last week.
