I'm curious whether anyony also actually counts the calories each day- as i'm thinking maybe I'm eating too many calories with the fruits and all. My scale moved only teeny tiny, but in the right direction & I'm losing inches definately. I'm a tad frustrated as i'd like to see a bit more loss for all this effort- & I'm wondering i I am eating too many calories

I do count the calories when I food journal. You should be around 1500 calories for healthy weight loss in phase 2. Phase 1 may be 1200 calories. It is also good to have one day a week where you get 1800 calories to keep your metabolism from stalling. I have spent many years studying different diets and IT always matters what the Calories in are. This fat flush is just the same only we are eating foods that keep our bodies working at optimal performance. Diets are just about losing weight and toning up but also about making every part of our bodies healthier.

I meant Diets are NOT just about losing weight and toning up, but also about making every part of our bodies healthier!

I never count calories. I have my two egg spinach omelet in the morning. A big salad and grilled chicken or fish at lunch and grilled chicken or fish and a whole 16 ounce bag of frozen vegetables for dinner, and an occassinal apple or orange in between.

Once you have an idea of how many calories you have with your daily diet then you can just know by what you eat that your calorie intake is within the limits of what is needed for weight loss. Are you keeping a food journal right now?

I hate to admit it, but since I'm only in P1- I have two differnt day menus & I pretty much have those same two every day- my big change today was having salmon for breakfast and eggs for lunch. My diet is like angelnurse', but a few times a week, I do a fruit smoothie for lunch.- so i;ve tried to add that up and it seems around the1200 cal- BUT- I am not counting the LLC flaxseed, the flaxseed oil (or fish oil) or any of the supplements- which have nore fats- so they must have calories.

That's so interesying about the 1800 calories one day a week- to rev up your metabolism- does that work?

wayiwas, how is your body feeling? I know we all want to see the scale moving, but you mentioned you're know your losing inches. The biggest change I felt initially on this diet, and continues to this day, is added energy. Are you feeling lighter with the 8 pounds you've lost so far? You're doing great. I hope you can enjoy that fact.

I am in phase 3 now, but still don't eat white bread, rice, and not too many starches. If I gain a couple of pounds, then I go back to the previously mentioned way of eating, and can drop 2 pounds a day, by eating this way. I know the calorie count in a whole bag of frozen veggies is like 100 or 125 calories, eggs are low, fruit is low, and you have to do the meat or fish. If I just have a big salad for lunch and my bag of veggies for dinner and don't have any protein, I don't lose. Weird huh, I always thought the lesser calories you have, the more you lose. That is probably the biggest reason why I don't count. I have learned a lot with this way of eating. I don't ever plan on going back to 190 again. 170 when I started this diet.

angelnurse, do you exercise alot? I am a little weak in that department b

no, I never seem to have the time. I do walk alot at work, but that is it. Try the mini trampoline for rebounding. You only need to do it for 10 minutes a day, 3 times a week. I used it when I first started. Need to get back to it. It does take a while to get up to 10 minutes. You can get one for like 15.00 at walmart. Start out with just a couple of minutes and build up. It helps flush out toxins.

The additional calories one day a week WORKS for me. I can have a larger meal for one day (fat flush approved) and the next day I will have lost weight. It took me by suprise when this kept happening but the nutritionalist said this is a normal metabolism booster for most people.
