I am bummed about weigh-in today. I only lost .6 lb and I know that a little is better than none, but darn it! why does those last few pounds have to be so hard? I want to embrace this diet, but I know I haven't given it my undivided, full attention YET. I was thinking of making some changes to my diet and see how that affects the loss for next week. Caffeinated coffee is going away, and i'm going to work on modifying my carb intake. I did a pie chart yesterday of what I ate, and it immediately pointed out to me that the largest catagory was CARBS. Every day I have stayed about 3-4 points under my daily requirement (which is nothing new. it feels right for my size) and have gotten a decent amount of exercise...that's why I'm frustrated. I'm taking a new form of estrogen that the doctor started me on last week, and i'm thinking its a contributing factor to the slow weight-loss. Then again, I haven't been able to get any lower than this all along, have I?
118.4 lb Lost so far: 0.6 lb.    Still to go: 8.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Eating consistently below your daily points requirement might be part of the problem. I know that I do it too sometimes... but have lost the most the weeks when I have eaten what I was meant to. They don't have the Slimming World diet here... but certainly that one recommends eating loads of fruit and veggies to speed up weight loss... I'm pretty sure that does work, as your body doesn't retain those calories. Anyway, good luck and keep it up... you WILL get there! ;o)

a pound lost is one you dont have to carry ...stay motivated..watch your points, exercise..and dont give up...you cant reach your goal if you give in...

Wow! Remember .6 is closer to a pound than not. And a loss is a loss and little bit closer to your goal. I could NEVER give up caffiene. Anything else yes...but I must have my two cups of coffee in the morning then I don't have anymore at all the rest of the day.

I gave up coffee and noticed a big difference in that I didn't feel so bloated...might be worth a try. I am curious where you got the pie chart from-and can you share. I have been 100% on this diet and was looking at all the CARBS in my Weight Watchers food and was wondering also if CARBS could contribute to a slower weight loss-I would love to pie chart it out. I went to Weight Watchers today because I am going to be gone this weekend and I lost from SAturday to Thursday 1.6 pounds...which is great, but I FELT like I lost SOOOO much more....getting old sucks!
