Well that kinda bites the dust, eh?! I knew I threw my back out. And, I did take some Bayer and Tylenol and Ibuprofen (not together.) And, I know that sometimes they can constipate and/or cause water retention- esp. Tylenol. But dang! This is insane.
So, while I have been working my be-hind off, and eating salads galore, and drinking water and Vitamin Water Zero....I morphed on 3 pounds. Totally stinks. But, I will keep at it. Its too important to just throw in the towel. Grrrrr.

Hi Annie, Back pain and errr... "other issues" I can relate to :-) It might be a little too late but try sugar free metamucil for fibre benefits, a good friend recommended it a few years ago and when I know I'm needing fibre or I'm going to be getting dehydrated it "works" well without any medicinal consequences...just be careful a little goes a long way, too much can cause cramping as it works its way through the system. I'm still recovering from the ruptured disk (mid Feb), icing still here and there when the damaged section gets irritated, swells and pinches the sciatic nerves...still taking alleve regularly as an anti-inflammatory, to help it heal and help in reducing swelling. Good luck on your recovery and have a blessed Sunday and week ahead!

You know, as I read "icing"...my mind went completely adrift thinking of icing dripping off a pastry. My mind digresses so far when I am tired. =+P But, I did kinda "ice" my back- in a manner of speaking. At DH's behest, I managed to slide into a kayak, and bumped into an ice-float and got a little wet. It's Lake Superior---so, yeah...the water was icy. Does that qualify? hee hee! Three days in a row now, we've been working at the old house. I scrubbed the heck out of the lower 1/3 of the fireplace- and attained about an 80-85% recovery on the stone finish. Its just going to have a more "rustic" finish when we're done. DH went up in the Genie (Cherry picker), and scrubbed away on the top 4 ft. section. That was 400-500 degrees hotter than the lower sections, so the stone was scorched pretty bad. (It was 22 feet from the base to the ceiling, so the fireplace was a dandy.)He attained about a 50% recovery level, and has to go back up a couple more times to get it on par with the lower 1/3. I am going to try working on scaffolding for the mid section and see how we do. But, my arms are aching now. The back is still a bit sore. I had to haul wheelbarrows full of debris up to the excavator today, since the basement area keeps getting more roofing and insulation dropped in it. The teenagers worked their behinds off, and walked the whole perimeter of the cattle fence, and the horse's riding arena. They had all the tools to make fence repairs and redo sections with the high tensile wire. So, they're pooped now. I meet with the window guy tomorrow and get an idea on the R/O's to give the contractors. With that, I can get a more accurate quote. Going with the LP Smartside for the exterior of the house. If one of the best builders in the area uses it on his house...its got to be pretty good stuff. So...that's one thing out of the way! Have a happy day, all! And, thank you all for the encouragement. Much appreciated!!!!
