Fast day. Time to cut back. Calipers say I'm staying at 13% bf regardless of calories between 2800 and 3000 x 6 days a week. I want to get down to, well, well defined abs. Once I'm there I'll return to the 2800 to 3000 and hopefully that will leave me there for lean gains. Coffee and a little broth only today. Calories will be under 100.
189.6 lb Lost so far: 10.4 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I"m still astonished by the calories, Bill. I was just reading the other day that when I do a deload I should be eating 25% MORE calories than at maintenance. That means up to 3700 calories. Seems insane to me, but I'm willing to try it for a week. Doritos?

Good Morning Northern.....just had a chance to listen to Alan Parsons Hawkeye...don't know how I missed that one....oh well, back to ITunes....haven't asked about Mom and Dad.....things going better....hope so!

I lift 4 times a week. 2 days is a powerlifting (squats, deadlifts, bench presses) routine that takes about 45 minutes each. 2 days is for hypertrophy. Squats are lighter and higher rep, bench is swapped out for flies. Every body part is hit on those two days, and it takes about 1.5 hours each of those workouts. 4 1/2 to 5 hours per week lifting.

3000 calories per day! You'll need a truck load of Doritos! Just don't eat them near me, because they smell, well, like Doritos!

The fast day has certain benefits including the higher production of Human Growth Hormone. It's also a matter of discipline. I suppose I should clarify though. Maintenance with the fast day would equal about 2700 calories overall across the seven days of the week. 3700 cals during the deload/overcompensation phase over the week it would 3200 calories on average. Yes, it would be simpler just to eat those calories every day, but this gives me the benefit of higher calories over the lifting days for building, while giving me the lower calories on the main off day. My fast day is also Sunday which happens to be the day I blow the diet most often. It just takes my binge day out of the equation.

Is smelling like Doritos a good thing or a bad thing, Brenda? Are you attracted th the smell or repulsed by it. (Enquiring minds want to know.)

Enquiring minds want to know? LOL! I am repulsed by the smell of Doritos, so, please, please, don't eat those things near me. Take them outside!!!

9:00 a.m. and I have just tried contacting 2 repair people....I need Peanut Butter and Jelly and LOTS OF IT!!!!
