Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
I know we're all struggling for different reasons this time of year. Some are ambushed by sweets and large portions, some are tackled by memories of loved ones that are no longer in their presence, some are dealing with health issues that make keeping a smile on their face a struggle.
Just because you didn't do as well as you told yourself you would yesterday does not mean you failed.
Yesterday has gone. Tomorrow is a figment of your imagination. Today is the only day you have. Even when you wake up in the morning, it's always Today. Take a deep breath. Know that you were given the strength to get through this day, even if it's moment by moment.
You are a conqueror. You are kind. You have choices. You are enough.
Take this day and decide what you will be. If you are able to move more today than yesterday, do it. If all you can do today is hang on, that's ok. Know that you're loved and cared for.
Have a good day buddies. It's a good day out there.
