I think I lose wt. slower than I should. But on the bright side a pound is a pound. I believe if I ate 500 cals a day & walked uphill 8 hours carrying a 50 lb rock, I might lose a pound a wk. If I ate over 1200 cals a wk. and did the same thing I'd gain 2 lbs a wk. I have a very slow metabolism.
223.0 lb Lost so far: 52.0 lb.    Still to go: 28.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I have noticed the same thing as I have gotten older. It's much more difficult than it was 30 years ago. That said, celebrate the loss! And say goodbye to the weight as it leaves you. Slow and steady will win the race. WTG!!

Going down is always better than going up. Even if it's only a pound.

Thanks for the support. If you're under 45 and need to lose weight, do it now. For most of us, the older we get the harder to lose weight. Walked two miles today, even though it was raining & my feet hurt really bad. Went to the podiatrist & got a new prescription for inserts to be made inside my shoes. Have to buy a new pair of shoes tomorrow. Dr. said I could use the shoes I was wearing, but I said no. These are the most comfortable shoes I've had in years. Good luck to all. I
