8 MORE OUNCES! Opps, sorry for shouting. LOL But just 8 more ounces... Oh, what do I care about ounces! The first 3 numbers are all that matter to me. *grin*
I hit my goal today!
Oh my gosh, does that ever feel great to say!
A year ago—heck just 8 months ago—and for more than a decade, I'd convinced myself I'd never see 145 on a scale again. Now, looking back, I can't help but think, How stupid was that? To constantly tell myself never again, weight comes with age, or it's just the way it is. Worse... "I can't do it."
It doesn't have to be that way! I can. I did. And man, it feels awesome.
YOU CAN TOO! Remember that.

Thanks, you guys! I just wish I could be there for everyone else when those little whispers of doubt creep in. I've been there; Trust me, I know. Making the decision to change one's life might come easy...at first. Sticking with it at every meal, every day, when the scale goes the wrong way or goes no where for a while can be hard. That niggling thought of "giving up" pricks at your mind. Those foods that steered you wrong the first time still call to you, and that little voice that keeps you focused on the goal must sometimes shout louder to drown out those temptations. But in the end, the feelings of achievement are really truly worth making those tough decisions day in and day out, and they're made more valuable because of living a healthier life.
So I'm definitely celebrating, and I'm even more determined now to "stay the course". :)
