Patchizz's Journal, 22 April 2024

I can, in all honesty say I have not once strayed from eating only nutritional food since I have joined this group. I hope the rewards keep coming because I’m very pleased with the results so far. I’ve been battling immense urges since Wednesday last week though and have been more hungry than usual. So far I’ve managed to control the temptations to over indulge but I have made poorer choices and my protein intake dropped significantly for a couple of days. I look at it like every day is a new challenge so I don’t get too overwhelmed. I need to stay focused on the GOAL!!!

We all have those days that are harder to make good choices. I keep fresh vegetables cut up in the fridge. Baby carrots, peppers, cherry tomatoes, peas. Then on days or evenings when I have hand to mouth disease it’s easier to grab that to snack on instead of the other choices.

There are days that I find it’s pretty easy to stay on target. Then there’s the other days when my mind drifts to all those muffins and cookies in my freezer. Keep it balanced. If I really feel like a muffin, I have one for lunch with an apple, and I counts the calories. Not the best use of my calories but at least I counted them in my day.

Rschafer1970, I’ve sure had that hand to mouth disease alot lately and I should take your advise about cutting up my veggies and have them ready to grab. My craving have been driving me more to the poorer choices lately which are flavoured rice cakes which have basically have no nutritional value but are low in calories. Maguscanook, as you can see, I do grab what I crave but I always include it in my calorie intake as you do. As much as I’m determined to not exceed my caloric intake of between 1000-1200 calories a day, rice cakes are just not a healthy choice. I like my protein consumption to remain between 65-85 but a couple of days it was at 34. StomachMonkeys thank you for your encouraging words. I got on the scales this morning and it said 174.6 and I couldn’t believe my eyes. That’s a big drop from what I weighed yesterday but I only post on Mondays and that weight will probably fluctuate all week. Let’s see what next week brings and I will try to implement all the good advise everyone give to me to make things easier when faced with these hunger cravings! 🌷😎
