Hang in there! Far better to wait than suffer consequences. Is your walking limited by the doctor, or as you feel capable?

Not lazy. Recovering! You'll get the muscle mass back. In the meantime, rest and heal ❤️

I'm feeling your situation YOH. I know you are antsy but keep following Doctors orders. You will get back to your usual activities in due time💜 I'm tempted to lift heavy but I decided that they are giving their advice for a reason and I just need to reel it in. You got this. 💜

The saying “muscle has memory” is a true one! You will get back any muscle lost rather quickly due to what happens to the body when you build that muscle in the first place. Your body recruits certain types of cells to build that muscle (the hard part) but those cells remain there (even when you stop working out) and once activated again will put that muscle right back and much quicker than when you first built it. You’ll be back to your old self very soon! Glad all went well with the procedure! 👍🏻💪🏻😊

I feel you, Yearo! I broke my foot in four places and I’m on week five of absolutely no weight bearing at all on my left. In another week I’m suppose to be able to graduate to a walking boot for another four weeks. My only goals have been to not gain weight and follow drs orders. My best wishes for your quick healing and rehabilitation!

It is a great pic! Sorry I didn’t say so earlier. I identify with restricted training, but I’m not beautiful, so just talking about what I know…

Writing-yep thats pretty much what I’ve been doing. Couldn’t sleep the other night so cleaned my pantry top to bottom from 11:30 pm to 5:30 am. So surprising what you find stuffed in the back! But pretty much just resting. Restlessly.

Diana i feel like you are much more dedicated than i am. I just dont want to lose the gains I’ve made nor gain weight but it is annoying. I cannot even lift my little 21 pound black man (the puppy of course-my man weighs a bit more than 21 pounds😂). YOU MUST follow your drs orders. Much more important situation than my superficial one darlin. Xoxo

Handsome dog. And beautiful lady. I understand antsy. You’ll be ok. Don’t push too early. We want you all healed! 💜💜💜🩷🩷🩷

Kenny, i know that is true because it had been 8 years i had been out of the gym when i got new hip last year (and 80 less pounds 8 years earlier than last year🤭) and when i graduated to the leg press i moved up pretty quick. Had to have been muscle memory for the progression. Hope it holds true for this bounce back. Waiting on new hiking pics from you my friend🥰. Thanks for the well wishes

Adopt-how on earth did you break your foot in four places? OUCH! I hear you on the worry about gaining weight. That has been front and foremost on my mind as well. Keep me posted on your recovery!

RC-yep he is an English cream golden retriever. He will be four on November 1! My little black pomsky will be 3 about 2 weeks earlier and i want to have a joint birthday party for the two of them and the sister of my pomsky. My husband said to me yesterday when i told him, “dont be that weirdo that has parties for puppies.” But he was smiling when he said it. I love my boys🥰

OTB thanks brother. I should have put oakleys on also so i could have been as cool as Sawyer. Maybe next time. He has goggles also for riding around in the convertible (to protect his eyes).

Thanks wifey. Me too. I am being obedient this round. Im always the one that thinks if i can push thru pain its fine. I have finally conceded that there is a reason docs say to take it easy after surgery. Im so happy for you! Mexican food and no issues! I miss true Mexican food.

Was wondering about your leg press comment after THR. I had a THR in 2017, and a repair of the posterior wall of the acetabulum in 2016 (which led to the THR later on) Both my surgeons have made very clear that I'm not to lift or press anything more than 40lbs on the surgical side ever again. Also no running, jumping or squatting.. Have you any of these restrictions?
