LOL, but pickles are so good other than the salt. They're practically 0 calories and have probiotics.

I could never give up pickles. I love them all but stay away from sweet relish. Plus they have potassium for us weirdos that can't eat bananas. I aways got Charlie horses when I worked grave yard shifts but not when I'd eat a couple. They're a big DILL!🤪🤣

Dill pickles are the best with sammies, but I try & limit to 1 spear (¼ of a pickle)–it's not easy. Thinking of the probiotics in any fermented foods I love helps regret to step back somewhat.

@glen…according to Health Coach Kate (nutritionist), sodium isn’t the cause of HBP, high insulin is. At least 3000mg of salt per day or more is good for us. Like Supergainz1 said.

I agree with Super & Storms. I came off of BP meds eating whole packs of bacon, drinking salt in my water once a day, etc. after I cut out the sugar/carbs. My nephew has recently done the same. He couldn't eat pork when he was eating a high carb lifestyle because it would shoot his BP sky high & cause massive headaches. He enjoys pork on a daily basis now with no BP meds. When he went to his Dr last week, she was in disbelief that his BP was so normal. After he told her what he was eating, she demanded that he get blood work done monthly. 🤣 My doctor did the same years ago & each time, EVERYTHING got better & better. Not only did I come off of BP meds back then, but I also avoided chorlesterol meds (yes, my cholesterol profile IMPROVED eating a high saturated fat diet!) & my pre-diabetes went away. I also came off of depression & anxiety went away. Another positive effect was that I had gotten to the point where I couldn't even comprehend a business letter before changing my diet. I went from that state to reading 300-page books in only a few days (it's called grain brain).

When I was at the point of not having compression skills, I could not even get through the 1-2-3 process of washing dishes. I actually went to the psychiatrist crying my eyes out, telling her that I was losing my mind. She didn't really know what to do for me. She prescribed ADD meds. I never took them because I HATE MEDS. Shortly after, I found the keto/LCHF diet. It changed my life completely!

I buy the tiny ones ..don't eat them often but sometimes I get a craving..💜

I CAN'T BELIEVE that I let all of that go for YEARS! Junk food is truly a drug! ...but I'm back in the saddle again. I have already seen much improvement again in these few short weeks.

I would love to be able to do keto. A big fan of fats. Bacon is king. Having lost my gallbladder in 2015 though, fat doesn't like me. Like shit through a goose (literally). I wonder if there is a keto program for gall bladderless people?
