Where do you live that you don’t have ac????

@Super: in California there are a gazillion homes without AC that use ceiling fans instead. We get the ocean breeze, and only a couple of weeks during the summer is it unbearable. Sternfan's bio says she lives in the Bay area (think San Francisco and a little more south).

Ahhh ok lol... people would die in nc without ac. What’s the temps there like fire summer?

During fire season or our summer (August & September) the temps can go up into the 90's, but usually we stay in the 78-82 range. Fine with just fans. The further east you live in the state, the closer you are to desert, and temps are over 100. Then you buy solar panels and have some AC.

Lol my childhood home has central but no air, was built in 1946 and it never got so hot that it was needed. This weekend will be low 90s. We do get 100 sometimes but doesn’t last more than a few days. I’m in Silicon Valley like the show 😉. I used to live in Sacramento where we had AC but I had my Dads old car with no AC, it was like driving in a friggin oven! You had to roll down the windows manually! Thankfully my car has AC. Going to the movies tomorrow to cool off. We don’t even have ceiling fans lol, just regular fans. I spray myself with water in front of the fan when it’s sweltering to make my own AC.😜

I’m sitting in the backyard right now on the patio under shade and my outside thermometer says 95 but I’m fine. I’m drinking a bloody Mary and listening to music so things are good. Gonna have a grilled portabella mushroom and broccoli for dinner later. 👍🏻

Sternfan i found these battery operated little neck fans they go around the back of your neck and a fan on both sides you can point up toward your face or down toward your chest and it really helped me last summer when i was so unwell post surgery. I couldnt tolerate the heat and we had some 100+ days. Really cheap on amazon.

Interesting! With those temps get yourself a portable pool to soak in on sweltering hot days n you’re good as long as night time stays low
