LadyinDenim's Journal, 25 June 2023

Have settled into a two meal per day routine. Hubby is joining me in the restricted feeding schedule. He chose 10am to 6pm and it's working well for him. He's already active (volleyball 4-5 times a week and dog walks 2-3 times a day, kettle bells daily). He lost 8 lb just making that one change. I wanted to see if time restricted feeding alone was enough for me to lose weight, and demonstrated to myself that I can do it without feeling hungry or deprived and without gaining weight.

Am committed to daily exercise. Plan to increase time on the bike, keep the shoulder and bicep routine and the V-sit. The other ab routines are too advanced for me, so will find a replacement. Dug a yoga book out of storage that will do for now. The one I prefer is lost in my clutter somewhere.

After I write out my new exercise plan, I will update my flylady routines. I still refuse to put shoes on, though 🤣
302.0 lb Lost so far: 17.8 lb.    Still to go: 177.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Nice! I think hubby has done the same thing with me....kinda, I ask him what he wants for dinner and he says what ever you are having is fine and it's showing on him, it's great to have company on the journey!

Sounds like an awesome plan, Lady! It looks like we all 3 have Wonderful husbands 🙂 Mine eats whatever I cook. He never complains. I normally have to cook for him 3x a day when he's at home, but he skips breakfast with me sometimes now. ...and when he wants breakfast, he keeps it simple most of the time, like eggs and tortillas. He's not overweight at all, though, a little on the muscular side, not like body builder muscular but hard worker muscular.

I don't think I'm going to do much of any fasting this week either. Maybe 16/8 or 20/4. I'm going to take this week to nourish my gut some. I am DETERMINED to add more veggies. I bought bunches at the grocery store today. I have NEVER been a veggie eater. All of the sugar should be flushed out. Probably will do a little longer fast next week.

I think that's a great decision, Zenus. Fasting reset my taste buds and I bet you will find the same thing 🙂 I have enjoyed my past three eating days and I got my digestion moving again, which feels great. Stay tuned for joy!

Thank you for saying something was lost in the clutter somewhere. Wow, I struggle with that too, but mainly thrift store clothing to be altered, and some books. My husband would like to live in a place that looked like an army locker. I do 16/8 IF every day but that's my average hours.

Snow, I think 16:8 is so reasonable and sustainable. About the clutter, hubby has a high tolerance for disorder, but he moves my piles around and restacks my junk so I can't find anything! Honestly, it is mostly stuff I never use. I think I could handle decluttering one surface or box a day. While Marie Kondo is amazing, I don't see myself ever folding my Tshirts into little pyramids 😅 My first husband was very clean and tidy. It put a lot of strain on our marriage because he literally could not relax unless the beds were made, dishes washed, floor swept and mopped, stairs vaccuumed. If I didn't get to it fast enough, he did it himself (and looked angry the entire time).
