I didn't eat anything except chips and salsa today, and didn't drink any water... yet I'm gaining?
191.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 51.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

It is not good to weigh yourself every day, focus on a week by week process. Sometimes weigh-ins can be affected by the clothes you wear or the foods you eat (even if you ate salads for a straight week, your body metabolizes foods differently- even at different times of the month.) Don't give up, just weigh in less so the gains won't discourage you. I ate healthy for 2 weeks, and only lost 3 lbs. But I weighed more today than I did 4 days ago. Yet, I know that eating healthier is helping me lose weight. Hang in there! I found Dr. Ian Smith's books very helpful. I saw him speak a week ago and bought his book. I do not follow it exactly, because I am never successful with a diet if I try to follow it exactly. But I am taking key points from it, like cutting out the "white" foods- the bad carbs.

you can gain weight if you don't eat enough calories. Your body goes into starvation mode and stores the fat. I would rather see you eat two eggs for breakfast and apple for a snack a grilled chicken salad for lunch and a protein shake for dinner, It would be really good to throw in some brocolli for a afternoon snack too. AND PLEASE PLEASE drink water all day long... lots of it with lemon!

Hello!!! Like Dooley said, sometimes if you are not eating enough calories this can happen!! And don't forget to drink water: it's important to elevate your metabolism, and it also helps to fight daytime fatigue!!!

"chips and salsa" If you made the salsa yourself...no prob...the chips will be high in salt too.
