Fritzy 22's Journal, 12 March 2023

Had a lousy week as far as following my WOE. I expected a 2 or 3 pound gain. Didn't eat too much junk, since there isn't much in the house. Mostly it was toast with butter at least 4 or 5 times during the week. I also made a baked potato once and ate it with butter and shredded cheese. None of that is allowed on my anti inflammatory diet. The weather has kept me inside most of the time. I am so tired of winter! It's usually my favorite time of year. Normally I look forward to any rain that is forecast after years of drought. I have a rain gauge to keep track of how much water is falling. But this year, the rain never seems to stop. I just empty the rain gauge when it reaches 2 to 5 inches.I only managed to get out for 2 or 3 walks last week. Hope to reset the eating today but doubt I'll be able to get out for a walk.
187.4 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 25.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 2.8 lb a week

The weather is kooky everywhere. No idea what to expect from one day to the next.

Bread is my demon food...I understand the cravings. I make cauliflower mashed potatoes with just a little bit of real potato in it so that is pretty tasty without the carbs...just some ideas

Thanks Morticia!. I have a vacation planned in just over a week. It involves a really long drive, 12+ hours to visit my niece in Washington. Have no idea at this time whether or not I'll be able to go. I hate driving in rainy weather, or snow.

Thanks HCB. I keep some bread in the freezer but try not to eat much of it. Once I lose another 20 pounds or so I may go back to having a small amount. A few years ago, after losing weight I started having just1/4 of a toasted bagel with a tablespoon of low fat cream cheese. I know I'll never totally give up bread

Nothing wrong with a piece of toast for breakfast OR a bagel for lunch OR a roll at dinner—- it’s when you have bread all three meals, day after day— that’s where the problem is.

The rain and cold weather makes people crave comfort food, for sure! Me too! Hopefully it’ll dry up and get more sunny. Cold and rainy in AR, too!!
