Redporchlady's Journal, 09 December 2022

First workout after being on vacation & having COVID. I was not going to share because the trainer backed me way off so mentally it is hard on you to see that but I thought it would be good to share because my trainer knows what he is doing and I trust the workouts he gives me to make sure I train injury free and around all my health issues.

Hex Bar Deadlift 150 lb 2x15
Incline Bench Press 45 lb 2x15
Dumbbell Row 30 lb 2x15
Dumbbell Stepup 5 lb 2x15
Rope work - 5 sets

Side note: I made it thru the workout and had a high heartbeat of 165 bpm and was sore that night.
132.0 lb Lost so far: 40.0 lb.    Still to go: 2.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

It's amazing how it zaps your body! I'm glad you were able to work out, even though it was not up to your usual... hopefully each day will get better! I'm going to try tomorrow..slow and light to start 💪

I felt lethargic and had some muscle ache for months after. Good for you for resuming it when able and with professional help.

OTB- Thank you and so grateful that I do have the desire to get back into my routine. I know that can be so hard for all of us to keep consistent!

Lightning- Thanks and was glad to see some of that vacation weight drop off. Funny how you can gain it so quick but it can take awhile to come off. I will keep my focus on the food and the lifting and not the weight!

Diana- Agree with you 100%. I hope you are feeling better every day too! I am so impressed with you being gone on vacation for a month but you are still working out. I worked out a couple of days while on vacation but it was not the same so you rock!

Diablo- Thanks! I used to pick up rocks on the farm out of the fields! LOL I find the heart rate interesting and like to look at it every time because my workouts I usually peak between 165-170. The trainer has never talked about our heart beat. I do know it recovers very quickly and would like to learn more.

Fiberoptic-love your name and read your bio becasue I work for a broadband company, and we put fiber in the ground for internet. I saw your's was for actual fiber! LOL I am glad that my trainer knows how to introduce me back in. He works with 12-80 year olds and is very dedicated for sure.
