seeing those beginning diet water weight drops. maybe I didn't put on as much fat as I thought 🤔 either way I'm off to a good start in what I hope to be my final push to drop below 15% BF . once I get there how the hell do I keep the water weight off 🤔 🙃

I wouldn’t worry about it. It’ll come and go regularly. 😁

Water pushes water. Keep your sodium level low (think <1500/day) and drink lots of agua. How are you measuring your BF%?

JustBananas one of those stupid smart scales that I know isn't accurate. You all must think I'm nuts I change my damn mind about what I want to do all the time. Probably because I am nuts and just don't want to go back to the way I was and now evrytime i start to put some back on I start to panic🙃 😕 I drink close to a gallon and a half of water a day. I have to keep the sodium up because I'm constantly flushing it out and blood pressure is on the low low end.

D_not_Cupcake 😊 thanks I lost around 85 pounds before only to go back to old habits and put 50 back on I just won't let that happen again.

If you are drinking that much water every day, it is not just sodium you have to be concerned about. Electrolyte imbalance is serious business.

Embrace your nuts. 😁 Your mindset is in the right spot, IMO. When you visit FS in January, you'll see everyone reappear with an extra 20 lbs. to lose because they slid right back into eating junk again. And junk feeds junk. A mindful approach works: eat like a thin person and you will be thin. As far as water weight goes, keep exercising, keep your fiber up (35+), and keep drinking your water. Not everyday will be the same, which is why you can't let the scale's daily wobble freak you out. You know when you've deviated, so just correct it until it becomes an automatic reaction.

Kenna Morton 1 gallon is straight water and I have a few disposable size bottles with squechers electrolyte mix in them each day some seltzer with dinner. coffee in the morning and some more in the evening before I workout . I sweat alot so I drink alot 🤪

JustBananas it's not even just January I see it in the feed all the time with people weighing in and it says plus 90 lbs then you go and look at there last weigh in and it's been like 2 years. I was the January 1st guy this year, I don't want to be him again lol. I was actually just thinking about it today how crazy I'm sure this feed gets on new years day 😄 I didn't start even looking at it until March I was just logging in the beginning.

At least you've lost your weight. Some dieters here that are still obese even after 5-10 years of "trying." It requires a whole lifestyle overhaul if you've been overweight your whole life, especially if your family and friends are also obese. Baby steps don't work for them. Have you ever read about Penn Jillette's weight loss?

OTB good attitude to have. I want to be nuts about it too and not gain it back. I am getting to old for this stupid yo yo game. Way to go on keeping at it and you are right seeing people come on FS and say they have gained it all back + some you feel for them but I think that is what pushes us to not get in that predicament again! Keep fighting and posting - it keeps us all in the game!
