I'm so happy with my weigh in today!! Last year I weighed 309 just after Christmas. I was at my lowest mentally. I sure didn't like myself. I was stuck in a horrible place. It wasn't until I went to visit my son in March, when I saw in his face, how sad he was when he noticed how hard it was for me to walk from my car to his front door step. It killed me. The very moment I got home, I made a change. So here I am at 268 lbs. I haven't been this weight for 4 yrs. Walking has been the key for me, and lots of it!! Well of course, keeping a food journal too. The biggest help has been that my husband has walked every day with me. The other major help has been my FS buddies. Thank you for all the encouragement. K.
268.0 lb Lost so far: 35.0 lb.    Still to go: 69.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

YAHOO!!! Awesome loss so far. So good that you have your hubby walking with you and supporting you. Having that support has to be a huge blessing. Your son is going to be so proud of you.

wholefoodnut, Awesome is right!! I'm starting to like myself again! My son also had a weight issue since he was a little boy, but when he started playing football in H.S. he slimmed right down, and has always stayed slim. He has always worried about me, and my weight, but is always a positive influence. He always asks me if I'm eating enough!! or am I getting enough protein!! He really can't believe I'm hiking, but nether can I!! My hubby works construction all day long, but still goes with me for our walks. It's turned out to be the nicest thing we've done for ourselves. No phones, no interruptions, just time to take in the scenery and time to wind down from our day.
