KayBuckaroo's Journal, 28 June 2022

one week in with my new quad cane, my right legs doing so much better. incredible difference. meanwhile, Dr. House fans, get a load of this: my recent brain MRI results reported a 2cm cyst, which is likely causing some odd issues such as imbalance, nausea, and headaches. I have only that very limited info from my nurse over at the PC’s office. The former nurse in me says what kind? where? what are we doin about it? so that followup appointment is in the morning. is the brain cyst a huge deal? prolly not. just, uncanny. i had a second brachial cleft cyst grow suddenly in my neck 8 years ago. a huge lipoma in my shoulder. and now this. it feels, slightly, repetitive.

meanwhile, i have debilitating bursitis flares >10years now in the right hip joint, osteoarthritis in right and left hips, and lower back degenerative osteoarthritis, rendering my once-strong-as-an-ox body powerless, crumpling my dastardly legs that now betray me.

double groin pulls ✅
IT bands on fire ✅
radiating pain down buttocks ✅
nerve pain down to foot✅

and thats just my lower half.

i used to be a dancer. a runner. and 2 years ago, i stopped being able to even walk to the kitchen without help or pain. back2back pregnancies shot my preexisting pain thru the roof, and ive never recovered.

my immediate family has a history of heart disease, arthritis, and also of autoimmune diseases including lupus. my initial bloodwofk for the ANA profile was negative, but rheumatology is scheduled for first available in a few weeks.

are my pain and mobility issues just from my live-fast lifestyle of classical dance, dabbling in rugby, roller-skates and various sports… of is there an underlying cause that we aren’t seeing

I feel like I had more to say on this post but now I can’t really recall. I do know that I have been making a huge grocery list for Friday and it includes replacing everything in our pantry and I haven’t even began to think about meals yet. And like I said on my previous post with weighing in it’s just not a top priority right now. did I gain back some odd 7# yes but it doesn’t matter whatsoever making sure I don’t abuse food Because I am upset or in pain is my top priority and that is what I am doing every single day all day long. Making sure when I do eat it’s for hunger and for nourishment and not because I am trying to escape depression or the fact that my pain has spiked and I need to do some thing about it. obviously with as sedentary as I am I needed to eat a lot less. But eating at a deficit just simply isn’t my thing right now.

Oh Kay, what an enormous load of a situation to figure out. 💕 Taking some time off of weighing and all that stuff is certainly understandable. I pray you get some answers and any solutions to relieve your pain and get you back to a healthy state come soon. 🙏 💕
