Find a plan you can fit in to your life and is sustainable for the long haul. There are so many out there. You can also just do calorie counting and focus on whole foods. Be proactive and find out as much as you can about nutrition and fitness. Get some fitness magazines or go to local library for books. There are also many online sites. You have to sift through the information and apply what fits in to your life. Once you have your diet under control. Add in exercise. Put baby in stroller and go for a walk. Check out amazon.com or collagevideo.com and get a few workout vidoes to do at home. Some are short and can kick your butt in to shape while the baby naps. Jillian Micaels 30 day shred is 25 minutes long but there are many others. Your local library or youtube might have some for free. Weight loss is a learning experience. You have to jump in and find what works for you. If one thing doesn't work, try another. Good luck!

I agree with Suzi, find something that fits into your busy life that you know you can stick to. Plan meals ahead so you can record your calories easily and having a baby that makes things easier because it's not as much guessing. Make sure you're getting good foods not just fat free or light, get fruits and veggies, whole grains, good proteins, etc. Being a mom myself, if you can't get to the gym (which I couldn't afford when my kids were young), buy DVD's. The Jillian Michaels DVD's are usually good, or just anything that sounds appealing and will motivate you to get going. Take the little one out for walks or runs in the stroller, walks can be great exercise and your little one will enjoy them too. Just get going, find your motivation, eat right, and move. You can do this!! :)

Agreed with the above....active.com and livestrong.com are sites I highly recommend! And a calorie count app :) Good luck!
